Avery arrived promptly at Room 6617 of the hotel in half an hour's time.
Dylan was greeted with a ghastly image of Avery as he opened the door to the hotel room. Her tangled mess of
soaked hair and pallid face accentuated her expression of utter despair.
“Now that I'm here, will you release Nina now?”
Dylan's eyes flickered. He wrenched Avery into his arms regardless of the icy chill of her damp skin. He swiped his
index finger across her lip as his gaze sharpened. “My wife is indeed loyal. I've chosen well.”
Avery's eyes were overflowing with pure vitriol. “Let Nina go!”
“Patience.” Dylan's grip was firm on her chin as he gave her a once-over. “Go and have a shower, or you'll catch a
cold. Good girl.”
Avery was like a marionette as she made her way toward the bathroom to shower.
“Let Nina go,” Avery repeated as she emerged from the bathroom in a bathrobe.
The warm shower did not diminish the pallor of Avery's delicate features. She resembled a fragile flower bud on the
verge of being snapped from its branch by a gale with her tousled hair, and her ebony eyes had the darkness of a
desolate wasteland devoid of life.
Dylan served her a glass of wine and stared at her affectionately. “Have a drink. It'll warm you up.”
Avery was doubtful about the content of the wine and refused to take a sip. Nonetheless, she quaked under the
oppressive stare of Dylan as he uttered coolly, “Nina.”
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtShe accepted the glass and observed the swirl of the blood-red concoction, suppressing her fear and dismay as she
downed it in one gulp.
The remnants of the wine in the glass resembled a lurid pool of blood.
Avery instantly felt the strength leave her as a rush of heat began spreading across her body, making her
squeamish.
She would have fallen at the sudden weakness in her knees if Dylan had not caught her in time.
He was smirking like the cat who had gotten the cream.
Avery clenched her fists to knock the expression off his face. Alas, her feeble condition only managed to displace
the wine glass from the corner of the table.
She was caught off guard by the sudden rush of desire that washed over her senses.
“D-Dylan, you filth!” Avery snarled furiously and bit her lip till they bruised.
Dylan pushed her onto the bed and divested himself of his clothing except for his briefs.
He strode closer to Avery, who was writhing in discomfort due to the aphrodisiac, and leered at her. “I suppose
you're aware of the filthy things that are about to happen next.”
Dylan took hold of a camera from a drawer and set it up on a nearby table with the lens aimed at Avery.
Avery gaped at him in sheer disbelief as she caught on to his vile intentions.
She would have escaped if not for her compromised state. She felt as if she were being tortured by the feverish
frissons assaulting her senses.
Avery felt as if she was about to go insane.
She squirmed on the bed and began tearing at the collar of her bathrobe in a futile attempt to extinguish the
inferno wreaking havoc within her.
Dylan's eyes were glued to the graceful pale neck and generous cleavage presented before him as he broke free
from the last vestiges of restraint.
He had been with countless women, but Avery was the first one with the alluring paradox of both innocent and
seductive charm.
He trapped her below him and whispered excitedly in her ear, “Ery, do it with me this once. I'm skilled in the art and
won't hurt you one bit. I won't let you go now that I've finally caught you. I promise to show you a good time that's
even better than anything you've experienced with Cayden.”
Despite being under the influence of the aphrodisiac, Avery kept sober with the pain of biting on her tongue.
Crimson drops of blood trickled down from the corner of her lips.
Dylan was out of patience as he smothered Avery's neck with kisses and lowered himself between her legs. Avery
let out a gut-wrenching howl. “Cayden, save—”
Dylan was triggered by the mention of Cayden's name. He cut her off by tightly sealing her mouth shut.
He was on the verge of forcing himself on her when the door to the room was kicked open. Both Dylan and Avery
froze at the unexpected interruption.
Dylan turned his head and saw two silhouettes shrouded in darkness.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThe imposing man at the front had a face that was twisted into a rictus of rage from the depths of hell.
“Cayden...”
The panic and hopelessness within Avery diminished markedly.
Cayden stalked closer under the amber illumination of the lights.
His anger was so palpable that it seemed as if it would scald anyone who dared venture close.
He had the deathly glare of a vengeful spirit fixated on dragging his foe into the pits of the abyss.
Even the seasoned Dylan had goosebumps at the sight of Cayden. Xavier, who was behind Cayden, was aghast
seeing Avery and Dylan entangled together.
Dylan, who was still on top of Avery, cowered at the overpowering aura of Cayden.
Despite that, he maintained his facade of insouciance as he jested, “Hello, dear cousin. I had no idea you fancied
voyeurism. Are you—”
Before he could complete his sentence, Cayden saw red and rushed at him, delivering a lethal blow.
Cayden showed no mercy and pummeled him without reserve.
Dylan barely managed to duck from the attacks that rained down on him.
He shielded Avery from Cayden's strikes with his body mulishly as if daring him to deliver a death blow.
The veins on Cayden's forehead throbbed at his wrath. He could feel the strength in his fists converging into a
destructive force that threatened to destroy everything around him.
Anyone who dared touch his woman was courting death.
Cayden's stony gaze surveyed the scantily dressed Avery and lingered on the hickeys smattered across her snow-
white neck.
