Chapter 582 The Identity Of Avery

Avery reminded Xavier again to send Nina home before she left.

Nina had quite a bit of fruit juices in the private room. Besides, she also had low alcohol tolerance and was feeling

dizzy after being prodded to drink more alcohol by their classmates. What escaped her was that even though the

red wine she drank was sweet and lovely, it had a significant alcohol kick.

The woman wanted to use the restroom after she and Xavier left the private room, so she excused herself before

going to a nearby public restroom.

When Nina got to the toilet entrance, dizziness crept up on her as her vision blurred, making it hard for her to

determine which way was the female restroom.

And so, Nina pushed open one of the doors dazedly and staggered into the restroom.

It was quiet and empty, and Nina quickly solved her bodily needs.

When she was done, Nina breathed a sigh of relief. “Oh yes! It's a relief. If not, I'll have to hold my pee...”

Just then, she heard someone open the door beside her as heavy footsteps sounded throughout the space. Then,

running water reverberated in the restroom.

Meanwhile, with her thoughts in disarray, Nina rubbed her head and stumbled forward unsteadily. When her eyes

landed on a tall man using the restroom before her, the clueless Nina sobered up immediately, realizing what had

happened.

“D*mn, you pervert. How dare you use the female restroom?” Nina shouted with rage. Without even looking at who

the man was, Nina grabbed her bag and threw it at the man forcefully.

However, before she could hit the man, he seized her bag.

A tug of war began between the duo, but Nina's bag remained firmly in the man's hand without any sign of budging.

She lifted her eyes to look at the perv*rted man. Then Nina saw the cold, wicked, and seductive emotions in the

man's gaze. At the same time, a flicker of recognition flashed across Nina's eyes. The identity of the cruel and

heartless demon before she dawned on him. It was Xander, the man who had locked her into a room full of snakes.

Nina's anger rose to a boiling point, and her eyes blazed with fury. She scolded, “Let go of my bag, you bloody

perv*rt who loves to bully women!” Nina didn't expect him to really let go, though.

Yet, he did according to what she said. Then, with elegance, Xander slowly pulled up the zip on his pants.

Nina, on the other hand, glared at him before scolding in a small voice, “You shameless perv*rt!”

Xander smirked after cleaning himself up. He walked over to Nina, extending his slender fingers to seize her chin.

Then, he forced her to look at the male restroom logo on the wall. “Miss, please take a clear look at that. Now tell

me whether this is a male or female restroom?”

Xander had chosen to come to the quieter restroom outside because he wanted to make a call, and the noise

inside his VIP room was unbearable. He didn't expect that the moment he came in, a woman would misunderstand

him as a pervert.

Why am I so unlucky? I could have used the restroom in my VIP private room.

Nina's face flushed a rosy-red shade when she noticed the male logo on the wall. Although she had wanted to

apologize initially, the apparent pain that radiated from her chin reminded her of Xander's viciousness.

The words of apology that were nearly out of her mouth changed. She said, “I'm drunk, so I must have gotten the

sign wrong. You haven't washed your hands after peeing... don't use your dirty hand to touch me...”

Initially, Xander was really angry but he burst out laughing. He increased the pressure he exerted on Nina's chin.

“Are you complaining that my hand is filthy?”

Nina was certain that her chin would be dislocated soon. Influenced by the extreme pain, she lifted her leg and

kicked at Xander. “Go to hell, b*stard!”

Caught by surprise, Xander got kicked in the lower body by Nina. He held onto his affected body part as a terrifying

aura emitted from him.

Intimidated by Xander's presence, Nina seized the chance to run out of the restroom. Before she escaped, the

woman turned back to look at Xander, and her legs nearly gave way when she saw the murderous glint in Xander's

eyes.

What a terrible man! I promise... I'll never show up before him in the future!

Three days later, a DNA report was in Alina's tightly-gripped, and trembling hand. She stared at it, her hands nearly

made a hole from how hard she was holding onto the report.

“Lina, don't overthink this. So what if Avery isn't your biological niece? She's obedient and mature, and you've loved

her for so many years...” Gigi patted Alina on the shoulder gently. She wanted to comfort her, but she couldn't find

the words. In the end, Gigi let out a sigh.

This must be hard on her.

The niece she has doted on for over twenty years had no blood relationship with her? I won't be able to accept that

either. If this happens to me, I will most probably break down too. Not to mention this is the reality that hits the

vulnerable Alina now.

Gigi was about to speak further when Alina tore the DNA report into pieces before throwing them into the trash can

beside her.

Gigi furrowed her brows in surprise. “What are you doing, Lina?”

Alina turned her tear-stained, pale face toward Gigi with a determined look. “Avery will always be my niece no

matter what the result shows. Our bond will never disappear just because of a few words on paper. Gigi, please

keep this a secret between us. I'm afraid Avery will overthink this matter if she finds out. Besides that, my dad is old

now, and his condition is deteriorating. I don't think he can endure this intense blow.”

All Alina had in mind now was why the world played a trick on the Rumpley family. She blamed everything on the

sister-in-law who she had never met before.

Leonardo treated her like a treasure while she cheated on him. Judging by how well I knew the honest, simple-

minded Leonardo, I'm guessing he didn't know that Avery wasn't his biological daughter even until he died.

Pain and sorrow surfaced in her eyes, and Alina was on the verge of collapsing when she thought about that.

Gigi quickly helped her sit down. She stated sternly, “Gigi, you can't delay your operation anymore...”

Alina did not show any expression when she replied, “All right. I will do it. But before that, I want to head back to

Jetroina in my current state to meet him for one last time.”

At the same time, in the CEO's office at Trident Group, Xavier handed a stack of files to Cayden respectfully. “Mr.

Moore, this is the information I gathered about Ms. Rumpley's background these few days. Please have a look.”

Cayden took the files, browsing through them quickly. When his eyes landed on the last sentence, Cayden narrowed

his eyes.
