Aurelia flashed a cunning smile. "From the tone of Tanya's voice, she must care about the child. She's been pretending to stay calm but was probably a hot mess in her heart. Geoffrey doesn't seem to have many children, so our bargaining chip got much bigger if this is his only child." She began to take out another chocolate, about to pop it into her mouth, when Leopold swiftly leaned in, capturing it with his lips and playfully nipping at her fingers.
She shot him a mock-angry glance. "Didn't | already give you a piece? Why do you have to steal mine?" "It tastes sweeter from your hand," he said with a naughty grin that could knock the dead back to life.
He wanted more than just her chocolate. He wanted to taste her lips, too.
She withdrew her hand and popped another chocolate into his mouth. "Enjoy it while you can. I'm on my period this week, so keep your hormones in check." Leopold made a mental note.

His handsface drew closer, almost brushing against hers, a mischievous smile playing on his lips. "That's alright. I'll take care of you." As he spoke, he stood up to massage her shoulders.
"Does that feel good, honey?" Aurelia relaxed back into the chair and must admit it was comfortable, his hands skilled.
"Not bad. | didn't know the big boss had it in him to give massages." His eyebrows arched slightly. "There's nothing your husband can't do." "Ex-husband," she couldn't resist correcting him.
Leopold didn't like that term. "That'll change soon enough," he insisted.
"We'll see about that," she quipped, "I've got many suitors. Have you taken a number and entered the lottery?" "Who would dare cut in front of me?" he said with a possessive edge.
Even Arnold wouldn't stand a chance of snatching his wife away.
Aurelia gave him an exasperated look. "l won't rush back into marriage. Just be prepared for that." Leopold felt the sting of her words once again. He was like a man with his head on fire, all passion and no sense.
But the woman he loved was cold as ice, like the glaciers in the far north, and without sextraordinary catalyst, melting her frosty demeanor seemed nearly impossible.
"Once we sort out this mess with Megan, we can discuss remarrying properly." Aurelia waved her arm dismissively as if she tried to oppose him deliberately.
"Long live the single life," said Aurelia.

"I'm not scall-and-response girl for you." He pinched her cheek. "You're my downfall. You'll be the death ofsomeday." She scoffed, "Make your wife sad for a moment, you should bear the consequences for a lifetime. You deserve it." Hiseyes glinted with sharp intensity in the dim light of Twilight Club.
"So you refuse to remarry only to torment me?" She turned her head away. "Think whatever you want." He gave a wry smile. "Fine, I'll savor the bitterness. When you've vented all your anger, cback to me." As long as she didn't lose herself in thoughts of Arnold, he could take whatever she dished out.
Megan had seen the messages in the gossip group at Azure Skies Villa. She was the talk of the town and couldn't escape the limelight.
Jewel had arrived with new instructions.
"I heard the Stirling family would ship the kid off to sremote island. You better rush over to the Stirling Mansion tomorrow. If you can't bring the child back, you'll have a tough tto come." Megan felt faint.
"The Stirling family have done a DNA test. They know the child isn't mine. If | go to rescue him, wouldn't that be admitting to infidelity? I'm not an idiot. There's no way I'm going." "This is the boss' direct order. If the kid ends up on that island, you'd better go there and keep him company."
