Chapter 29 A few minutes after Kris had left, while Thalassa was sitting on her bed taking deep breaths to calm her racing. heart, Luisa rushed into the room with a worried look on her face.

"Lassa, I just saw Kris being escorted out by the guard. What happened? What was he doing here?" "He sneaked into the house to verify his suspicions," Thalassa answered.

Luisa's eyes widened. "So now he knows it's you?" Thalassa nodded, and Luisa asked, "How did he react?" Thalassa shrugged. "As expected, he was furious." Luisa's eyes darkened. "Don't tellhe tried to hurt you. Did he dare to touch you?" "No, Luisa," Thalassa clarified, but a wry smile stretched across her lips.

Yes, Kris hadn't touched her or hurt her physically, but that hadn't stopped him from doing everything he could to hurt her with his words. But the funny thing was that she had expected it.

"How do you feel now that he has found out?" Luisa asked.

"Nothing It was true. After her confrontation with Kris, all she felt was numb. She hadn't been planning to hide forever and had expected that conversation.

"So what did you two talk about?" Thalassa contemplated telling Luisa about all of Kris's insults, but there was no need to ruin her friend's mood.

"He warnedthat he wasn't going to allowto hurt his mom or anyone in his family." "Well, that was to be expected, no? It's his mom. He isn't going to allow any harm to cto her." That was what pissed off Thalassa the most. No matter how despicable his mother was, she knew he would always! defend her.

"What are you going to do now that he's fighting back?" Thalassa let out a short, humorless chuckle. "Sometimes I feel like you don't know me, Luisa If he thinks his warning is going to stop me, then he should be prepared." If anything, his warning had made her even more determined to complete her mission. But now she wasn't going to target only him, his mother, and Karen. Now she was going to target everyone else in his despicable family.

They'd all contributed to her suffering years ago. Kris's aunt, Cynthia, had always made it a point to humiliate Thalassa in front of guests and at events, saying she would never fit into high society. She would taunt Thalassa about how her marriage was so perfect compared to Thalassa and Kris's marriage. She was the most vain out of all the Miller family.

Then there were Kris's twin siblings, Susan and Tyler. They'd made it their mission every day to torment Thalassa's life in the house and treat her like trash until she was in tears.

"They're all going to pay." When Kris got home, his family members were gathered in the living room.

Chapter 29 "Darling, you're back," Karen said when she saw him and immediately walked toward him. "Where did you go? You didn't tell anyone anything before leaving.

She hooked her arm with his, and Kris stiffened, irritated by her touch. He freed his arm and walked by himself toward the living room, sinking into one of the couches with a gloomy expression on his face.

"Kris, your mother told us about how that woman treated her in her office. I can't believe it! Who does she think she is to disrespect the Miller family like this," his aunt, Cynthia, ranted.

"Yes, brother," his sister, Susan, seconded. "You can't let her get away with this. She needs to pay for disrespecting Mom. She needs to know what the Millers can do. Wipe her on the floor!" "Oh, con. It's not that bad," Tyler said more tentatively.

"Oh, shut up, Tyler. How can you still have a crush on that bitch after how she treated Mom?" Susan sneered. Kris gritted his teeth at the fact that his brother still had a crush on the masked woman. He wondered if Tyler would still feel the sway if he knew that the masked woman was none other than Thalassa.

"By the way, I wanted to talk to you about something, brother," Tyler said. "I need you to increase my monthly allowance." Kris's eyes narrowed. "You already receive several thousand dollars every month. What do you need more for?" Tyler shrugged. "I mean, I have sneeds, right? Things I want to buy. I want to buy myself a new car.

Kris smiled a hard, wry smile. While he busted his ass off at the office every day and was trying everything he could to save his mother's fashion house, all his siblings did was party, flaunt their wealth, and go to entertainment events. And he was tired of it.

"If you want to buy yourself more fancy things, then perhaps you should start working," he said coldly.

Tyler frowned. "Oh, con, Kris. You've been givingthe sallowance for the past five years. Don't you think it needs to change a bit?" Kris nodded slowly. "You're right. It needs to change. And that's why from next month, I'm going to reduce your allowance by 40%." Tyler shot to his feet. "What? Are you serious? You can't do that!" "I can't?" Kris scoffed. "Watch me." "I told you not to ask him anything," Susan said, sticking her tongue out at Tyler.

"I'm reducing your allowance too, Susan," Kris informed her.

Susan was horrified, her eyes widening, "What? But that's not fair! I didn't even ask for an increase." Tyler looked at their mother. "Mom, tell Kris he can't do this! You won't let him do it, right?"

Kris glared at him. "If you wantto restore your allowance, then you m it th need to prove you deserve it by Grove, coming to work. It's not my fault that you are so fucking lazy that you couldn't even get yourself a degree." Kris was breathing fire, and everybody noticed, realizing there was more to it than just Tyler asking for an allowance increase.

Kris, what has got your boxers all twisted up?" his uncle, Stephen, questioned.

Kris realized he was lashing out because of the agitation he wasm feeling. He took a deep breath and answered, "I know who the owner of TT Fashion is." 2/3 Chapter 29 His mother looked at him. "Who is it?" "It's Thalassa." Almost everyone gasped in disbelief. His mother and Karen looked like they'd seen a ghost.
