that a pregnant woman's emotions could affect the baby.
Soon after, Everett showed up with Jeffrey in tow.

| just wanted her to stop talking, and she took it asbeing impatient! So, | thought, maybe | should just keep my distance, go
check on our daughter, but that just made her angrier!"
Dorothy glanced at Everett, who just shrugged. "And what about Karen saying you were abusive?"
"Abusive?! Me, abusive?!" Jeffrey's voice could've hit an octave higher in disbelief. "As if | have the courage for that!"
"Karen, what's going on?" Dorothy turned to Karen.
She pouted, "He did hit me. He pusheda bit! How is that not abuse?"
Dorothy was at her wit's end.
She waved her hands dismissively and headed to the door. "You two sort it out. I'll go get Felicity, can't leave her alone in the room.
Maybe Abigail and Langston are still up; they can help soothe her for a bit."
The whole didn't wrap up until after 10 p.m.
Mainly because Karen got tired.
Jeffrey, looking all pitiful, managed to coax her to bed, making Dorothy feel a bit sorry for him...
"I think dealing with Karen is Jeffrey's real karma."
Everett, nonchalant, scooped her up.
"Let's not worry about them. You, my pregnant lady, need your rest."
Dorothy wrapped her arms around his neck, letting him carry her back to bed.
