"Damien, I have said I am sorry. I have told them that because I was afraid of you. I know how much you love the company and don't want to lose it. I am sorry, I didn't mean to," Marie said as she cried and at the stshe was afraid that Damien might forsake her because of what she had done.

Damien didn't say anything but only looked at her.

"Even if it seemed that I was going to lose the company. I wasn't going to lose it. Anyways, how can I blyou when you aren't part of our family to know all the rules?" Damien asked with a wicked smile but Marie gritted her teeth out of hatred.

She wished that she could retort and say something that could hurt him in the process but her mind was blanked and filled with hatred and anger.

"Can you tellthat rule?" She asked in a low soft tone but Damien shook his head.

"If it were before, I would have told you all the rules so that you can familiarize yourself with them but now, I don't see the need to do so," Damien said as he was already angry with her and at the stime, he didn't want to wound her so much with his words.

"I am leaving but if something happens to Eunice, I will make you regret it," Damien said coldly before picking up his coat that was on the coat hunger, and phone on the bed and turning around to leave.

Marie looked at the figure and her hands clenched into a fist.

“Madam, I am afraid that you should be concerned about Eunice's wellbeing as she seemed to be shocked after hearing what Miss Lopez said," the butler replied as he was so concerned about his young miss.

Old Mrs Scott asked making the butler silent as he knew that what his madam was saying was true.

Harriet who was descending the stairs cfrom upstairs as she had followed Eunice cause she was afraid she might do something to herself heard what her mother-in-law said and agreed with her. Before she heard her, she had believed what Marie had told them but now, she could also sense that there was something fishy with what that woman had said.

"Mom, are you trying to say that Marie has lied to us to save Damien from being sick?" she asked out of worry but at the stglad that Marie loved her son so much to that point.

She stood up and promised herself that she had to get someone to tell her what the old woman mear but she knew that the butler was busy thus she didn't disturb him.
