appear as though she has attained the Intermediate Emperor State, that doesn't mean that she has actually done

so! Perhaps this is just a trick that she and Leon are in on together! They must've used some sort of illusion!" the

Southern Boss explained, sneering.

"Um," Everyone froze upon hearing this, and dubious expressions crossed their faces. All of them knew that Leon

had connections to the Thompsons, and it would not be too far of a stretch to say that Leon set Roanne up for this.

Not only that, but it did seem a bit unbelievable for Roanne, who already attained such an advanced power level in

a few days, to do so again within a few minutes!

This indeed seemed to be some sort of illusion or perhaps a trick that they planned together!

With that, the Southern Boss successfully managed to rouse everyone's suspicion.

"What nonsense! We Thompsons are among the elite of this city, and how dare you think we would put our

daughter up to such deceit? Don't you dare slander our name, Southern Boss!" Angus could not help snarling when

he heard the Southern Boss's statement.

"I'm not trying to slander anyone, and we can prove that right here and right now!" the Southern Boss replied

calmly.

"Prove that? How so?" Angus asked, unsure of what the Southen Boss was up to.

"Simple! Everyone knows that my son, Rodney, has already attained the Initial Emperor State, but is still a little

ways from attaining the Intermediate Emperor State! I shall ask him to go onstage for a duel with Miss Thompson,

and if she can put up a good fight, or perhaps even defeat him, I will admit fault! However, if Miss Thompson

cannot put up or fight or maybe even loses to him, this will prove that Cynthion Group's pills do not work at all!" a

glint of malice flashed through the Southern Boss's eyes when he said this.

"Well, that sounds like a good idea! If this is the real deal and Miss Thompson has indeed already attained the

Intermediate Emperor State, we shall know during the duel with Mister Spears!" the audience all could not help

agreeing with the Southern Boss's idea.

After all, Rodney was slightly less powerful than Roanne was, and was only at the Initial Emperor State; there was

no way he could win against her!

"I," Roanne glanced first at Leon, then at Angus with a look of uncertainty.

Although she attained great power, she never fought another person before and thus did not have any experience

in dueling!

Now that she was faced with the prospect of having to duel Rodney, she could not help feeling a little nervous and

unsure of what to do!
