Chapter 145: Winner(2)

[Congratulations, participant, you've successfully defeated your opponent on the twentieth floor. Please proceed to the next floor.]

After Brinda won against the Orc, the winning announcement rang inside her head. The next moment, the portal to the next floor appeared.

Her next opponent would be an early Void Condensation cultivator, so she took a deep breath before entering the portal. In figurative terms, it was only one grade above from peak Nascent Soul, but in reality, the power gap between these two levels was the same as the difference between a grown tiger and a newborn baby.

"Well, I've already come so far, so there's no point in wasting time. Even if I lose, I would still be fine," Brinda mumbled, seeing the portal. The next moment, her eyes turned determined, and then she took a step forward.

The next moment, she disappeared from the twentieth floor and appeared on the twenty-first floor. She jumped up the stairs and reached the top. Her eyes then fell on her opponent for the battle.

The opponent was a female Elf. She had golden hair, signifying that she belonged to the clan of the Sunlight Elves.

Brinda took her sword out from the space ring and took a step forward.

The opponent also took a step forward, and the next moment, she disappeared from where she was standing.

The next moment, Brinda found everything reversing for her. Before she could make out the situation, she lost consciousness. The next moment, she appeared on the platform.

She shook her head disappointedly after seeing herself on the platform. She couldn't even see what had happened and how she had lost her head.

Her eyes then fell on the screen and found only one of the sections active. She focused on the screen and found a man fighting on the twenty-eighth floor.

The man looked to be in difficulty facing the human opponent. He was currently covered in cuts all over the body, while the opponent only had a single wound on his hands, and that too was a shallow cut.

The crowd looked at the screen without even daring to breathe. Since they had no idea about the cultivation levels of the participants, they still didn't know who was going to win.

Time flew by, and a few seconds passed. Randall was gasping for his breath since he had only been dodging and running from the start of the battle.

He had no choice but to win if he wanted to proceed to the next tower since he had already gotten demoted twice. If his battle exceeded the time limit, he would still get disqualified.

His opponent also got bored while fighting with an opponent who was only dodging and running. Suddenly the air on the battleground turned cold. Before Randall could understand what was happening, his opponent arrived in front of him surrounded by a golden hue, and the next moment, his head got cut, and he lost his life.

The next moment, he appeared on the platform, and all the sections on the screen combined to create a complete black screen.

His eyes then fell on the participants, and he saw a myriad of expressions on them, but he couldn't find a single person who had a satisfied or happy expression.

"Damn! Another great event!" A man in the crowd shouted to show his admiration after the event ended. Others in the store also nodded and started clapping for Aakesh.

"Who do you think would win?" Another man in the crowd asked his friends while continuing to clap.

"I think maybe that Elf who reached the top floor?" His friend replied.

Many conversations like this were happening in the crowd. The number of people sitting in the store had already exceeded 25,000.

There was also a group that was gloomy while everyone else was clapping. It was the group of daityas. When they arrived, the event had already started, and they had missed the chance of participating in the event.

At first, they weren't sad about losing the chance to participate since their clan didn't need such a tower to train, but when they saw the Hygar appearing in one of the battles, they cursed themselves for missing such a great opportunity. Fighting against Hygar without the fear of dying was one of the best things that could happen to any organization.

After all the participants appeared on the platform, the system informed Aakesh of the completion of the event. Since he had no interest in watching the fights of these beings, he had closed his eyes to rest, and he then waited for the event to end.

He then stood up from his chair when the crowd suddenly started clapping while shouting "Good event, store owner!" from time to time.

He raised his hands, and the crowd stopped clapping. The crowd then looked at Aakesh to hear who was the winner of the event.

"Store owner was right. I wasn't even able to defeat an opponent of the same cultivation level," Evelyn commented while the Elven family and George listened.

They still remembered they had gone to Aakesh to complain about the unfairness of the rule. Remembering their tone at that time made their faces red with embarrassment.

"Let's forget. There's no point in remembering those things," Shalia commented. "I lost to the legendary Hygar while you lost to Elves or Humans," Shalia thought in her head but didn't speak out loud.

Cough. "Who do you think would win the event?" George fake coughed to remove the awkwardness and asked. Before anyone could give any suggestions, he added, "My guess is her." He pointed at Brinda.

The others in the group nodded since they also believed her to be the winner.

"Total 480 participants participated in this event!" Aakesh expressionlessly started announcing the result.

"Out of 480, not a single participant was able to win any battle, with an opponent of a higher level than their own. And out of all the participants, only one was able to win against the opponent that had the same cultivation level as her," He announced, and at the end, his eyes fell upon Brinda.

Brinda's face turned red, seeing Aakesh staring at her. Since she was a princess, no man had dared to direct a stare at her.. She even forgot that she had won the event at that moment.
