Chapter 2128
Back when she was fussing over all this, she was just worried Ivy might get hungry around mid-morning, given the
intensity of her job.
“If you’re peckish, grab a bite; don’t you dare work on an empty stomach, okay?
I know you actresses need to watch your figure for the camera, but you’re already slim enough, sweetheart. Don’t
be too hard on yourself, alright?”
“Thanks, Grandma, I got it…”
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThe old lady held Ivy’s hand at the doorstep and went on for quite a while. Mainly, she was reminding her not to
overwork herself and that her health was what mattered most.
“There you go again, gabbing away like an old hen. Ivy’s probably got calluses in her ears from listening to you.”
Dean took the old lady’s hands, waving at Ivy, “Alright Ivy, enough with the nagging, scoot off to your shoot.
Remember to take the family car when you come back.”
Ivy didn’t mind the so-called nagging; she had never before experienced this kind of warm concern. So she always
listened patiently to the old lady’s words.
“Go inside now. It’s chilly out here and you don’t want to catch a cold.”
Long after Ivy had driven off, she could still see the two elderly figures standing at the door, watching them leave.
For some reason, Ivy felt a sudden sting in her eyes.
If only all this weren’t just a fleeting dream.
Inside the film studio.
“Leo, looking chipper this morning!”
Giselle strutted in on her sky-high heels, all smiles, greeting the crew members already there.
“Giselle, talk about dedication, you’re getting here earlier and earlier. Even the director and the crew haven’t
clocked in yet!” Giselle just laughed it off, “Getting here early clears the mind and it’s perfect timing for me to run
through my lines again. Here, I brought you breakfast.”
Casually, she handed over a coffee to another man, “Alaric, you said you wanted it black, right?”
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThe man, who was flattered, bounced up, “Gosh, Giselle, you actually took my words to heart! I’m sorry for the
trouble; I’m easy with whatever!”
Giselle feigned annoyance, stamping her foot and pouting playfully, “Everyone gets a share so how could I forget
you? Working together is a stroke of fate, and I want you all to have the best experience. Next time we collaborate,
we’ll be thick as thieves, right?”
Anyone could see Giselle was in high spirits.
She used to buy stuff for them too so as to play the gracious star to a tee.
But back then, she didn’t hand things out with such cheerfulness.
Still, even if Giselle had her assistant distribute the goodies, they would have been more than content.
After all, who would pass up on freebies?
