Right after Austin left the base of the Sky Sect, someone found out that something unexpected had happened in that room.

A young maid, holding in her hands a serving tray made of white jade, entered the room. She had to hand over sjewels and ornaments, but on entering the room she found the four middle-aged maidservants lying on the ground unconscious. The two girls for whom she brought the jewels were missing. The maid was scared and screamed, dashing out of the room in panic. Quickly she went to her master and reported the matter.

At the stime, Steward Brent from the Sky Sect was discussing with another person who was in charge of the base on sweighty issues. He had to exhort him to action according to the sect leaders’ executive orders.

The person in charge of the base was a man at the preliminary stage of Master Realm. He was called Lu.

As soon as they heard the whole thing narrated by the maid, Brent and Lu rushed back into the room.

There was nothing more and nothing less in that room. The four unconscious maids were still lying on the ground, looking peaceful as though in sleep. Brent was extremely furious.

Brent had hankered for the sisters for a long time. He was planning on a threeswith the girls, though it was only wishful thinking on his part. It had taken a lot of hard work to arrange things for his plan to succeed. But now, his exclusive domains were gone. They had just vanished into thin air! On the other hand, Lu, the man in charge of the base, felt humiliated because the girls' escape revealed the faults and sloppiness of his security measures. They challenged his authority and he would never let go of it.

Lu vented his anger on the four poor ladies. Although they too were apparently victims, he didn't show any mercy to them. The tyrannical man splashed water on their faces to wake them up, and tortured the truth out of their mouth.

They screamed and begged for mercy. Right away, they told him that it was a young man who had rescued the girls whom they had kept as hostages. A young man? A young man! As to know who that man was, Lu had a theory.

He summoned his servant and ordered him to present a rough sketch of the man he had in mind. "Bitches! See this paper? Now, can you identify the man in this picture? Was he the sman or not?" he asked impatiently.

On hearing this, the four maids rushed and scrambled for the piece of thin paper. "Yes! It's him! This man took the girls away with him! I am sure! Please forgive me!" cried one maid.

"Steward Brent, this man is Austin! Our sect had put him on the wanted list long ago. Nobody knew that he would go so far as to break into the base. This idea never occurred to me.

There is something fishy about it. It is said that Austin had disappeared in the Sunset Mountain. But now we have more than one witness asserting his presence in our Daylight City! This is so strange," said Lu to Brent. Both of them were puzzled about the current situation.

Brent gave a snort of contempt. "This guy, Austin! He must have heard that we have captured the Meng family members of the Stone City. So, he decided to pay a special visit to us. That boy Austin thinks he is their savior!" Lu nodded in agreement, Brent continued, "Well, well! Austin, you'd better watch out. | have my eyes on you! I will not let you get away with it. Not so easily! | shall track you down till the end of the earth. | will grind your bones and scatter the powder around!" Brent spoke with clenched teeth. He was consumed with hatred. It rankled him to think about Austin.

Brent, the fierce-looking man, was gazing into distance. He turned into a wild blood-thirsty beast the moment he heard Austin's name. The boy had bechis sworn enemy.

"Bitches! Useless bitches! What are you looking at? Damn it! It's all your fault!" Suddenly something just snapped inside Brent.

Brent was a temperamental man in the first place. Now he was going to unleash his anger on the trembling middle-aged maids. A surge of vital energy cat the four innocent women which led to their tragic ending.

"Now, send my orders to the castellan of the Daylight City. Tell him that on behalf of our great Sky Sect, | demand him to impose martial law upon the entire city and begin searching for this criminal. They are to locate Austin and arrest him. Send my order, now!" Lu commanded his subordinates.

Lu's subordinates were also the sect's disciples. Seeing what Brent had done to the four ladies, they took the order extremely seriously.

At the stime, nearly several hundred disciples of the Sky Sect rushed out of the base and spread all over the city.

All the disciples were divided into small teams. There were a dozen teams. They guarded all the passes and set up checkpoints everywhere, only to investigate people one by one. Their task was to locate Austin.

The portrait of Austin had been reprinted and hundreds and thousands of copies were circulated. They were posted on every wall in the Daylight City and covered every blank spot and murky corner.

The castellan of the Daylight City, though unwilling to mobilize such a huge number of people, reluctantly agreed to Lu's words. It was the feelings of the leaders of the Sky Sect that he was scared of. Besides, he did have a friendship, or more precisely, a shallow acquaintance with Lu.

Considering all the reasons, the castellan decided to send out half of his city garrison. There were soldiers everywhere in the city now, each holding a sketch of Austin. The city was in utter confusion.

As for Brent and Lu, they didn't sit back or regard it as free time. On the contrary, they were ready to do the job themselves. Their combined spiritual sense covered every nook and corner of the Daylight City. Everyone had only one thing in mind, to locate Austin. There was nowhere to hide anymore.

Brent and Lu were both men at the cultivation base of the Master Realm. They were both accomplished spiritual sense experts.

Both of them released their spiritual sense in turns, like searchlight beams that scanned every corner.

Soon enough, every cultivator currently inside the Daylight City sensed waves of intimidating spiritual sense sweeping their bodies.

Sof them even shivered with fright because of it.

The two Master Realm adepts from the Sky Sect made a swaggering opening move. Shortly, the whole city was in hustle and bustle. Ignorant commoners joined the patrols in succession. The search for the criminal at large becthe priority.

Everyone was making random guesses about who Austin was, where he had cfrom, and what he had done to the mighty Sky Sect! They secretly hoped that the two sides would get into a fight so they could observe the scene closely.

While somewhere else, after extricating Michelle and little Joyce from the base, Austin again put on his black veil and big cone- shaped bamboo hat that could hide his face perfectly. He was wearing a loose-fitting long gown, which was also in black color and enabled him to blend in with common travelers.

He made a brief stop at a shabby inn for refreshment, though it was very much out of the way.
