Chapter 1168

Cally stifled a laugh. "Mr. Grant is glaring at you from behind. You should probably leave with him. I'll get going

now."

She left in a hurry after saying that as though wolves were chasing her from behind.

| froze and turned my head around. Sure enough, | saw Theo standing behindwith his arms crossed. He was

leaning against the door frwith a lackadaisical demeanor and staring atwith pitch-black eyes.

There was nothing more embarrassing in this world than to be heard saying bad things about someone behind

their back.

At this point, | was so ashamed to even talk to him, so | decided to leave.

| had just taken a few steps when the man pulledback.

He asked with a smile, "Are you still mad?"

| pursed my lips and said with a face full of mockery, "How dare | be angry with Mr. Grant."

"I'm sorry, | was wrong.”

Theo's voice sounded particularly gentle. "I know there's nothing going on between you and Jordan. | said things

that | shouldn't have. I'm really sorry."

| froze, suddenly not knowing how to react.

When Theo apologized back then, he would at most just say that he was sorry. It was easy to think that he did it

with little sincerity. This was his first tapologizing in such a sincere manner.

| pursed my lips and said a little awkwardly, "How could the great Mr. Grant ever be wrong? I'm the one who's

wrong.”

| shook off his hand and was about to leave after saying those words.

“Alright.”

Theo grabbedagain and pulledinto his arms. He said with a face full of helplessness, "We still need to

work later. Just put your tantrums away. If you're overwhelmed with anger, then you can teacha lesson at

night, okay? You can punishhowever you want."

He seemed to be coaxing a child. | knew that it would be inappropriate to continue making a fuss, so | glared at

him and said," You won't speak a word about this again."

Theo replied with a smile, “Okay, | won't mention it.

After leaving the office, | entered Theo's car.

Looking at Keith in the driver's seat, | fell into a dilemma.

"What are you looking at?” Theo embraced me, covering my eyes with his hand. "Close your eyes and rest on

our way there."

"Why should | rest when the journey is so short?" | took away his hand from my eyes, looking at him with a

somewhat puzzled gaze. "Why are you acting so weird?"

Theo pursed his lips, his tone full of danger. "Am | not enough to look at?"

| froze, and when | realized what was going on, | was instantly crying tears of laughter.

Was he jealous that | was staring at Keith just now?

| burst out laughing. "Theo, what sort of

nonsense is in this head of yours? | was just curious."

Theo raised his eyebrows. "Curious about what?"

| replied with a smile, "I was just curious about how Keith is able to arrive right in tevery single time. He's so

punctual that | wonder if he has special abilities, like clairvoyance or ssort. Why else is he able to show up

every tyou need him?”

"I don't have clairvoyance, Mrs. Grant. Mr. Grant senta text, so that’s why I'm here.”

Keith answered. It was the standard answer of a male chauvinist.

Theo looked atand raised his hand to lift up my chin. "Askif you have any questions next time. There's «

no need to stare at other people."
