I was half-convinced.

"When we were rescuing you and Mr.

Grant, our technicians happened to find several other locations from the clues in the lab, so we quickly sent our

men on missions and finally located Munchkin. Don't worry. The boy's fine and is already in the hospital getting

ready for an operation."

"Operation! What operation?" This was what | feared the most. Theo was taken elsewhere, whereas | was about

to meet Munchkin very soon. However, | did not know what he would go through before I could meet him.

"We will be at the hospital very soon, Mrs. Grant. He'll explain it to you later." Ronny closed his eyes after saying

that.

| could tell that he was in a lot of pain but certainly not to the extent where he could not answer my question. He

seemed to be hiding someone on purpose.

| looked around me. Although they were all injured, | was no match for them at all. Besides, the car was speeding

on the highway, so it would be unrealistic to escape by jumping out of the car.

After thinking about it, | could only wait anxiously in the car. | would get to take a good look at Munchkin when |

got to the hospital later. | could only hope that he was safe and sound before | arrived. The car continued to

speed, not slowing down even when we had driven into the city area. Soon, we arrived at the hospital.

The car stopped at the entrance of the hospital, and a group of men rushed toward the car.

There were paramedics and a bunch of black-clad men whom | disliked intensely.

Ronny and his companions were taken away by the paramedics, then the rest of the black-clad men came

forward. The one standing at the frontmost of the group walked up to me. "I'm sorry for the shock, Mrs. Grant.

We've made the arrangements, and the doctor can perform an examination for you any time."

He made a gesture of invitation, but | refused to acknowledge it. "Where are my son and husband?"

The other party did not evade my gaze in the face of my interrogation. He responded in a righteous manner

instead, "Munchkin and Mr. Alex have already been wheeled into the operation theater and are undergoing bone

marrow transplantation. Mr. Grant is in a suburban villa. Someone will be in charge of taking care of him."

My pupils instantly contracted. "What operation? | haven't even signed... You can't have Munchkin undergo an

operation!" | rushed into the hospital with great anger and panic.

The man caught up tofrom the side. " Mr. Hodds figured you may not know yet, so he askedto hand this

over to you before the operation. He said you'll know what's going on after you see it."

He pulled out a folder, which | took with great impatience. | opened the folder and continued walking, stopping

only until I saw the contents in the folder.

In the folder were three documents. One was a genetic identification certificate, a custody transfer agreement,

and a consent form for surgery.

The latter two documents were signed by Theo.

| recognized his handwriting. This was no proxy signature.

According to the time, Theo signed the surgery consent form before the custody transfer agreement.

| put down the document. "Where is he? | want to see him!"

| clenched the agreement forms tightly, my hands already crumpling the paper. Why did he do that? | must ask

him myself.

"I've contacted the men at the villa. Mr.

Grant was hit by stones in the laboratory and is still unconscious. The doctors are already treating him. You'll be

able to meet Mr. Grant when his condition is stable." My heart tightened after hearing what he said. | was angry

and anxious, a little annoyedeven.

| was alone in the hospital. | paced back and forth in the corridor. The red light of the operating theater made«

uneasy. | looked at the already crumpled papers and could not believe that Theo actually signed them.
