Chester quickly came to his senses, smiling at Quincy. "I'm more than happy to let bygones be bygones if you
are. May I ask what your plan is now?"
Quincy smiled lightly. "Chester Wilson. You are Sect Master of the Eternal Life Palace Sect, and I know you are a
man of great wisdom and strategy. You, of all people, should know of Archfiend Antigonus's terrifying power, and
that it is nigh impossible to defeat him with the manpower you have."
Quincy spoke with resolution. "I am proposing that the Carter family members, as well as the Hidden Hero Sect,
join US. This concerns the safety of our home in the Nine Mainland, and I hope you agree for the sake of the
bigger picture."
The last of her words were spoken with utmost arrogance, and Quincy's face was the picture of satisfaction.

Quincy was a woman of admirable talent. Before becoming the Empress, she had built a

Yet lately, the trouble with Archfiend Antigonus had incited a wave of fear in the people's

Royals. If you're thinking of using that as an excuse to usurp the Carter family members,
I'm afraid you're not going to have your way, Quincy."
Quincy merely smirked and remained quiet.
Another one of the generals, on the other hand, was unbelievably angry. He roared at
Chester and Dax. "Do you hear yourselves? To serve the Empress would be your honor.
How dare you speak so lowly of it? Did you lowly tyrants think you have a say in that?" 1
The Carter family members bristled angrily at the disrespect.

The Hidden Hero Sect disciples had finally had enough as well, joining the Carter family
members in their outrage!
"You're kidding me! The Hidden Hero Sect has almost ten thousand years of history, and she called US lowly

"You wouldn't stand a chance, even if all of the Nine Mainland were to join forces and had to pick a commander-
in-chief!"
"That's right! Don't think for a second that you hold any power over us just from strength in numbers!"

Sect. Their bond only grew stronger in the face of Quincy's threats.
Quincy's mocking tone spoke to them as they were nothing, filled them with nothing but fury.
"Very well!"
Quincy's face flushed scarlet at the rejection and retaliation, she nodded and said coldly, "Here I was, thinking of
putting our rivalry behind us to give you a second chance. It seems like none of you have the brains to take up
that chance. Well then, I'll just go back to being your enemy!'
Quincy's gaze landed on Chester and Dax. "Especially the Carter family. I offered a truce out of grace and
sincerity, yet you have spat on it. We shall count our grievances one by one, then!"
