"Your Excellency, please calm down. Don't act impulsively. This is the fiend race camp and you're not
allowed to move about as you like. I'm afraid that you'd be taken down even before you could find
Oliver," he said, his voice full of sincerity and frustration.
As the Black Tortoise King's eyes flickered with rage, he paused his footsteps and glared at Darryl.
After about a minute, the Black Tortoise King finally calmed down and said, feeling wronged, "Darryl,
Your Excellency, you are foresighted. How do you think I should go about this?"
He was betrayed by his son and the entire race had surrendered to the fiend race. No one would
ever accept that.
"Your Excellency, when we arrived at the camp, Archfiend Antigonus asked to meet you. It looks like
he's rather excited about the Black Tortoise race joining him and that's why he's paying so much
attention to you," Darryl said patiently, grinning.
Hearing that, the Black Tortoise King did not appear the slightest bit happy, but instead,
he looked troubled. "Darryl, stop making fun of me."
"How am I making fun of you? Later, I'll inform Morticia, the Fiend Martyr, that you've
awakened and she'll bring you to Archfiend Antigonus," Darryl shook his head and said
seriously.
"I'm going to see Archfiend Antigonus? I'd rather die than see him.“ The Black Tortoise
King became emotional and shook his with a determined look on his face.
He glared at Darryl. "Darryl, Your Excellency, if you want me to give into Archfiend
Antigonus for the sake of the Black Tortoise race's safety, I'll advise you to give up."
Darryl sighed and felt perplexed. "You've misunderstood me. I didn't mean that."
Then, Darryl took a look outside to make sure no one was eavesdropping and said softly,
"Your Excellency, I need you to meet Archfiend Antigonus. It's not for you to give in, but
because I have a favor to ask of you."
"What is it?" The Black Tortoise King was startled.
Darryl thought and said seriously, "The fiend race armies never attacked the Imperial Sky
Palace because the Innate Formation had been deployed to the surroundings of the
palace.
"But, Archfiend Antigonus has found the method to resolve the formation. If the fiend race
breaks into the Imperial Sky Palace, the entire Godly Region will fall. Then, not only will the
Black Tortoise race be doomed, but so will the White Tiger race, and other demons."
As he spoke, his eyes flickered with determination, "You can't let Archfiend Antigonus
succeed. That's why you must help me."
After hearing that, the Black Tiger King was moved. What Darryl said was rather critical
and as the King of the Black Tortoise race, he could not stay out of it. However, he
wondered how he could help when he was stranded in the fiend race camp. 1
As the Black Tortoise King wondered, he nodded. "Darryl, please tell me what to do. I'll
never refuse if I can afford to help."
Darryl nodded and explained his plan, "It's simple. When you see Archfiend Antigonus later, pretend
to surrender to him. Then, think of a way to find out the method to resolve the Innate Formation
from him."
Then, he forced a smile. "In the past, Archfiend Antigonus used me to threaten the Nine Heaven
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmEmperor and he failed. So, I'm won't be able to see Archfiend Antigonus. That's why it's all on you
now."
Darryl was restless when he found out that Archfiend Antigonus had the method to resolve the
Innate Formation. He knew he was not able to enter Archfiend Antigonus' tent and he was left to
think of what Black Tortoise King could do.
As a matter of fact, given that the Black Tortoise race had just surrendered to the fiend race,
Archfiend Antigonus would certainly prioritize the Black
Tortoise King. In other words, only the Black Tortoise King had a chance to find out the method to
resolve the Innate Formation. Once they got the method, Darryl would find a way to pass the
