Chapter 4478

Thoth whipped the Blazing Heaven Scepter around in the air. There was a blood-red ray of

light that enveloped Celine completely.

Thump!

Sensing the power of the blood-red light, Celine bit her lip as her chest pounded in shock.

She tried to dodge it, but it was too late. With a thud, she was hit squarely by the bloody

light.

With a harsh jerk, Celine fell from the air with a dull hum.

"Ugh!"

Celine trembled as fresh blood sprayed from her mouth when she landed on the floor. Her

exquisite features paled, and her body grew frail.

Was that how powerful the fiend race was?

Celine glowered at Thoth in rage and shock. That was the first time she had fought

someone from the fiend race, and she finally knew how terrifyingly powerful they were.

"Are you alright?"

Darryl rushed toward her, sweeping Celine up in one move. "Are you hurt? How are you

feeling?"

Darryl felt touched and guilty.

He knew that Celine wanted to help him. However, Thoth was far too strong, and there

was not much she could do.

Darryl's intimate gestures made Celine's face flush crimson in an instant. She dared not

look him in the eyes. She whispered, "I'm fine. You can put me down."

Her disciple and Yvette were watching not too far away. That was an embarrassing sight.

Darryl snapped back to his senses. He put Celine down at once. "There's no need for you

to help me! I can take on him by myself."

Still hovering in mid-air, Thoth only grew with frustration at the sight below him. He

roared, "Stop playing footsie down there! Give up while you still can, and come with me to

see the Honorable Archfiend Antigonus."

"Come and get me if you can, then. Less talk, more action," Darryl said with a cold smile.

Thoth's expression darkened even further. He cried, "You don't know what you're up

against! Fine then, if you insist on dying." Thoth gripped the Blazing Heaven Scepter as he

charged in Darryl's direction!

"Come at me. Darryl Darby is no coward."

Darryl was completely fearless at the sight of Thoth approaching him. He shot into the

heavens, making a beeline for Thoth as well.

Thoth's expression was positively murderous. He waved his hands before Darryl could

even come near him, sending out a deep purple flame.

The purple flame looked extremely terrifying. There was no heat; instead, it radiated a

sinister chill.

It was the fiend race's unique Flame of Nine Ice.

The Flame of Nine Ice was one of the powers from the fiend soul energy. It was powerful

enough to devour one's spirit. Once in contact with it, one's body and spirit would be

completely obliterated.

Everyone, including Yvette, Celine, and the rest, got a huge shock.

What flame was that? Why did it look so sinister?

Amidst their shock, Yvette could not help but cry out, "Be careful, Darryl."

Darryl remained completely calm and devoid of any nervousness. Instead, he stared

silently at the Flame of Nine Ice approaching him.

In the next second, the flame collided with Darryl's body. It let out a loud hiss before

putting out the next second.

It was apparent that the flame had not worked on Darryl at all.

What?

The smile on Thoth's face vanished instantly.

That was impossible. No one was immune to the Flame of Nine Ice.

Thoth did not know Darryl’s physical form was no longer mortal as he was reborn by the

Red Lotus Fayette. Even the Nine Heavens Mysterious Thunder would not be able to hurt

him, let alone the Flame of Nine Ice.

Darryl had been quite surprised too. He did not expect his physical form to block the

Flame of Nine Ice. Yet, he was smart enough to figure out quickly that it was the work of

the Red Lotus Fayette.

Darryl's gaze zeroed in intently on Thoth. "Guess the Great Fiend Martyr Thoth is not good

for much, either."

Thoth's face flushed an ugly shade of red. He shouted, "Don't get too smug, *sshole!" As

the words rang through the air, Thoth gripped the Blazing Heaven Scepter, a murderous

aura emanating from his body as he charged toward Darryl.
