Chapter 1125 Why Did You Bring Me Here?
After a brief silence, Evan asked, 'Was it Alec who took you away?" "Yeah." Jenny didn’t
hide anything. By then, they’d already crossed the borders of Monaerim. Even if Evan
came after them, he wouldn't be able to catch up.
"He's the ultimate winner, it seems," Evan lamented with a bitter smile. No matter how
hard he tried, in Jenny's heart, Alec was more important than him at the end of the day.
Jenny was somewhat dissatisfied with this and corrected Evan's words." Neither of you
won. I'm a person, not your trophy."
"I didn't mean that..."
"Evan, this is the last time I'll call you and the last time I'll contact you. I hope you wont
contact me in the future either. This is good enough," Jenny declared. She sounded quite
heartless when she said all that, but it had to be this way. She didn't want Evan to
continue to focus his energy on her, as it would only cause endless trouble.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtEvan felt a piercing pain in his heart, feeling as if he'd been stabbed with a knife. 'I
understand what you mean."
"That’s good," Jenny said with a nod. Finally, she said, "Take care of yourself."
"Okay, you take care too." Evan didn't say anything more to persuade her and ended the
call. He knew he couldn't hold on to her. Even if he said they could still be friends in the
future, Jenny wouldn't agree with him.
Their relationship had significantly changed since he left her on the island. Perhaps it was
even earlier than that. The moment he went through with his plan to kidnap Jenny and
tried to keep her by his side by faking a crippling injury, they were destined not to be able
to go back as they once were.
In Eldezar, a country far from Monaerim, Jenny was sitting on a hotel bed.
She decided to make the last call to Evan on a whim, ending their years of friendship.
After the call, she no longer had any grievances. Everything would be in the past, gone
with the wind.
However, looking around and being reminded of where she was, Jenny felt slightly
exasperated and helpless. When they boarded the plane, Alec didn't tell her they weren't
going back to their home country, but rather to Lourdon in Eldezar.
The doorbell rang. Jenny got up from the bed, opened the door, and wasn't surprised to
see Alec standing at the door.
"Why did you bring me here? We should hurry back to Clusia. Gilbert and Zack must be
worried sick," Jenny stated as she walked back to her room.
Alec smiled and said, "Don't worry, I've already informed them."
Jenny rolled her eyes but didn't say anything more. "So, why did you bring me here?"
"You studied here before, right?" Alec asked.
Jenny nodded. She had gotten her Ph.D. in this city, so she was quite familiar with it.
"Well, why don't you show me around? Since we're already abroad, there's no rush to go

he and Evan were fundamentally different. If Jenny didn't want to stay, he wouldn't force
her. He would book a flight back home with her right away.
Jenny looked out the window and could see the Faire Tower clearly.
"Okay, I can be your tour guide for two days since you saved my life," she said. She was
wondering how she could repay Alec for saving her; this was a good opportunity to show
her gratitude.
After changing their clothes and having breakfast at the hotel, they headed toward the
famous Faire Tower. Jenny was surprised that Alec was interested in it.
"You're interested in this thing? There's nothing much to see here," she said.
"Traveling is about going from places that we're tired of to places that other people are
tired of," Alec replied.
Jenny didn't refuse and went along with Alec's plan. After all, she was only a tour guide for
the next two days, so she would do whatever he wanted.
