Chapter 1148 Faye's Letter
The three of them were chatting over dinner at the dining table. Suddenly, Old Mr. Faust
thought of something and waved at Warren. He then whispered something to the butler
when he leaned in. Warren left very quickly, but he appeared again before long.
Jenny saw that the thing Warren brought over was a letter. That was quite unexpected.
"I suddenly remembered that we received a letter after you moved to Bardoff City. It's
from Faye." He had not opened it and had no intention of giving it to Alec either before
this. He was mainly worried that it might affect Jenny and Alec's relationship.
However, Old Mr. Faust felt there was no need for him to be so concerned anymore. Their
relationship was much better than he had expected.
Therefore, he decided to hand the letter to Alec. After all, it was meant for him. He was
Alec's grandfather, but he had no right to stop the letter from getting to him.
Jenny felt like it was only yesterday that everything had happened when she heard Faye's

Alec was dazed for a moment as well. However, he still accepted the letter and opened it.
Jenny was sitting across from Alec. She was a little worried when she saw Alec frown. Why
did Faye write to Alec all of a sudden? She would not be pulling some tricks again, would
she?
Even though Alec had explained that he only treated Faye like a sister, Jenny still felt a
little uncomfortable, no matter what.
It was most probably because she once thought that Faye was the reason Alec did not go
to her in the two years they were married.
Everything was clarified later on, but some things she had felt in her bones just could not
be forgotten.
When Alec put the letter down, Jenny automatically asked, "What did she say?’
Alec didn't intend to hide anything, so he handed the letter to her. "She said she's coming
back."
Jenny was stunned. It was true that anything that could go wrong would go wrong.
However, she was still able to keep calm. She accepted the latter from him and took a few
glances at it.
The content of the letter was very simple. Faye simply asked if Alec was doing well, then
she said she was done with her studies abroad and was preparing to return.
Jenny felt that Faye was quite shameless. She refused to believe Faye had not been paying
attention to her and Alec while abroad. Since she had been following their news, she
should have known that Jenny and Alec had already gotten together. Still, she wrote him a
letter. Could she have forgotten why she was sent away in the past?
If Alec had not moved quickly back then, she would have sent Faye to jail no matter what.
Jenny had only let her off the hook out of respect for Alec. Not only did Faye not restrain
herself, she even dared to appear before her. Did she truly think that Jenny could be easily
bullied?

Jenny returned the letter to Alec and said in an unpleasant tone, "Whether she wants to
come back or do something else doesn’t interest me at all. However, let me be clear—if
she dares to do something to me again this time, I won't let her go. Even if you send her
abroad again, I'll go after her and bring her back."
Not only was that important, but if Alec dared to do anything again, their relationship
would certainly be affected.
Alec could not help but laugh when he saw her saying that so seriously." What are you
thinking? I've already repaid all the kindness Anthony had shown me when I sent her
abroad back then. Whether she comes back or not has nothing to do with me.'
He didn't plan to reply to her letter. He didn't care either.
Even if Anthony once saved his life, he had helped Faye plenty all these years. He felt he
no longer owed Anthony anything anymore.
Therefore, if Faye dared to come back and offend Jenny again, not only would he not help
her, but he would even help Jenny to put her in jail.
He would not let her ruin his relationship with Jenny. Nobody would be allowed to ruin their
relationship!
