Chapter 610 Feeling Hurt
Jenny returned to the company. Plenty of people were looking at her, curious to know if she had succeeded in
securing the collaboration.
Right as she sat down at her seat, Cherry Winter, who was sitting close by, scooted over. "Don't be upset, Jenny.
Things don't usually work out the first time. Back when I first started, I didn't even get to meet the client."
Although Cherry knew that Jenny had the Walters backing her up and that collaborating wouldn't be a problem, no
one really knew what Mr. Walter was planning. What if word spread and no one had Jenny's back anymore?
If that were the case, she would not have a high chance of securing the collaboration.
"Thanks," Jenny said. She knew that Cherry was comforting her. 'But the contract has been signed."

She had not been quiet with her words, and people looked over. "Did Jenny succeed?" they wondered.
Some of them were jealous, but they thought it was expected. Jenny was the Walters' daughter. If she couldn't do it,
lowly people like them would never have a shot.
"Sorry. I was just too shocked." Cherry noticed their gazes and knew that she had overreacted.
Jenny shook her head. She had not minded. There was no need to keep it a secret. She didn't care about what
anyone thought.
Soon, news that Jenny had secured the collaboration spread through the company. Some people said she was
brilliant but then secretly thought it was all because of her identity.
Jolene's face was cold. She was extremely upset. "Brandon, you promised me that you wouldn't let Jenny get the
collaboration. What's all this?"
"I'm sorry, Jolene. Jenny had already signed the contract with Hunter when I got there. I couldn't stop them in time."
Brandon made up an excuse to brush it off.
Jolene bit her lip. "Can't you think of another way? Isn't Hunter your friend? Can't you just make him give you the
collaboration?"
"Jolene, they've already signed the contract. If Hunter does that, he'll have to pay a huge fine."
"Is that it? Are you just going to make her happy?" Jolene was furious. She was thinking even worse of Brandon now
and thought he was trash. "Thank God I didn't get together with him, or I would've ruined the rest of my life," she
cursed silently.
James was still the best. Only he was worthy of her.

Brandon was oblivious to what was on Jolene's mind. "It's alright,' he said calmly. "Jenny had only secured a one-
time collaboration. I'll definitely stop her from getting the next one."
Jolene scoffed and said nothing else. She hung up, thinking that talking to him was a waste of time.
Brandon wasn't feeling too well, either. He'd helped Jolene, but she had not so much as thanked him and even
scolded him. Even the thought of it made him feel hurt.
"Oh well," he thought. Brandon liked her, after all. He'd just endure it all. He'd see for himself if she kept up the
scoldings after marriage.
Jenny got off work at six in the evening. Just as she got to the entrance, she saw James, who was not far from her.
He was leaning against his car like usual. His ethereal face attracted a lot of attention from the pedestrians.
"James." Jenny walked over. She worried that he'd be affecting the traffic if he stood there.
James snapped back to reality when he heard her. "Are you off work? Let's have dinner." "Sure." Jenny didn't refuse.
She just so happened to want to talk to him about taking down the Glass family. But she didn't know when Alec
would arrive at Bardoff City. She was a little worried.
