Chapter 794 He Deserved to Die

When Evan rushed to the hospital, he found Jenny by Graham's bed. She was surprised to

see him. "Have you captured Kevin and his men?” "Yes, we caught all of them." He nodded

and added, "But I accidentally shot Kevin dead when he fought back.’

"Oh, he deserved to die anyway." Jenny didn't harbor any suspicion as she was not

surprised at Kevin's refusal to cave in.

A gleam flashed across Evan's eyes when Jenny did not doubt his account. "How's Mr.

Walter?" he asked.

"He's doing fine. He just needs to be hospitalized for a few days,’ she informed him. Later,

he stayed back to support her by Graham's side.

In Alec's room one floor below, Paul noticed that Alec was in a bad mood and offered

words of comfort, "Something's happened to her family. It's not surprising that she didn't

visit you."

"You don't have to make me feel better. I get it." Alec knew that Jenny must be extremely

disappointed in him after everything. Even he was disappointed in himself.

"Why did I suffer from memory loss? Without that, Jenny and I would have been together

by now,’ he silently lamented as pain shot through his heart.

"I'm not trying to make you feel better. Graham Walter was abducted by someone hired by

the Glasses. He also got shot and stays in the room above you.’ Paul handed Alec his

phone to show him the news of Graham and James' abduction.

Frowning, Alec read the news on the phone and appeared shocked. "When did this

happen?"

"It happened on the night of the surgery," Paul answered. Alec felt irked because he

believed Paul should have informed him in the first instance. Upon second thought, he

realized that Paul did not want to add to his worries, especially when he was hospitalized.

"So, how is everything?’ he sighed and asked.

"Graham Walter should be fine. I asked the doctor about his condition; he suffered from

excessive blood loss. He will be okay after taking some rest. " Paul looked into all the

details, seemingly knowing Alec would be concerned.

Alec nodded after learning that Graham was doing fine. He would be riddled with guilt if

something bad happened to Graham and he failed to offer Jenny help.

"Thanks," he expressed his gratitude to Paul, who shook his head, unbothered.

"Don't mention it."

Alec did not say more after that.

The door opened, and Blake wandered in with lunch. 'Alec, I've consulted the doctor, and

he said you're allowed to eat solids. These are healthy food, so eat up!’ She walked up to

the bed and laid out the dishes she had brought for him.

"You should have lunch now. I need to go to the office for some work issues,’ Paul excused

himself. He believed that Alec needed to confront the elephant in the room on his own.

After Paul left, Blake sat by the bed to feed Alec. "Here, have some soup."

"It's fine. Leave the food here. I'll eat later." He rejected her help. After regaining his

memories, he developed a dislike for Blake.

She didn't insist and put the bowl away. However, she didn't leave the room. 'I know

what's in your mind. You think that I've lied to you."

Alec offered no reply, but he indeed thought Blake had lied to him.

"Psychology is a complex field. It's not easy to understand what an individual is thinking.

Perhaps, I made a misdiagnosis somewhere, but could you be sure that your feelings for

Jenny Walter aren't driven by your mental health issues? You mentioned that you had a

compulsive need to control her and could not tolerate any man who showed up by her

side. You even wished that you could physically tie her by your side. These are symptoms

of an underlying issue." She went on, "Maybe you had real feelings for her unrelated to

your mental health issues, but later, your behavior was indeed affected by your mental

health struggles. I do not believe that I misdiagnosed you."
