Chapter 829 I'm Not Dumb
"Here we are, thank you for driving me here," Jenny said, ignoring Alec's question. She
wasn't going to answer something so childish.
Alec could only shake her head. "Go ahead then."
Jenny got off the car and hurriedly entered the station as if worried Alec might snatch her
back. The sight made Alec scowl. Was he that terrifying?
Jenny left the station half an hour later. She was about to hail a cab to go to the dinner
date she had with Evan when she noticed Alec was still by the street.
"What are you still doing here?” Did he plan to have dinner with them?
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThat...would only spell trouble.
"Don't you have dinner plans with Evan Clarke? I'll drive you." Alec's flat expression wasn't
helping Jenny guess what he was thinking.
She stared at him for a while to make sure he wasn't bluffing before laughing. "You'd
willingly drive me over?"
"Yeah." Alec nodded. 'Don't worry. I wont be a bother. I'll leave once I drop you off."
"Why?* Didn't Alec despise Evan? Why help her get to dinner with him, then?
"No reason. I want you to be my girlfriend, and I'm not going to let you go there via cab."
The safest thing to do was to drive Jenny herself to keep her safe.
Hearing Alec say that threw Jenny off. 'Alec-'
"Get on. You don't want to keep him waiting." God knows how painful it felt to say that, but
he had no one to blame for it but himself.
Jenny got into his car, knowing it was pointless to try and convince Alec to change his
mind once he set his mind to something.
Their car ride remained silent until they reached the restaurant. Alec couldn't hold himself
back from saying, "Be careful of Luke Faust. He’s a dangerous man."
"I know." Jenny nodded.
Alec glanced at her, making sure she got his message, so Jenny sighed and said, "I’m not

allow that."
"But he's a Faust and likely soon to be head of the family," Alec responded. That was what
the whole world thought, anyway.
Jenny rolled her eyes. "So? Do you think I care about that?”
She wasn't power-hungry like Yvonne Dickman was.
"No, you don't." Alec nodded. He'd known already, but he just wanted to make sure.
They soon stopped outside the restaurant. Jenny opened the car door and was about to
get out when she said to Alec, "You know something, you don’t need to do all this. Just
keep your focus on becoming head of your family for now."
"Don't worry. I won't make you wait," he promised. Alec wouldn't make Jenny wait too long
before becoming head of the Faust family as well as dating her.
