Chapter 945 Are You Matchmaking Them?
Evan did not show up in front of Jenny for the next few days. Perhaps he didn't know how
to explain himself, or he never intended to. Jenny, on the other hand, didn't bother to call
and ask him. She decided to wait for him to contact her.
"Is Luke going to end up in jail just like that?" Jenny still couldn’t believe it. After all, he
was a Faust. Zeke had abandoned him so easily, which surprised her.
Sitting across from her, Alec put some food on her plate. "Zeke is not stupid. Leonard is
tightening the noose on this matter. If he insists on getting Luke out, the situation might
worsen to a point he cannot salvage. He can't allow Leonard to escalate the situation, so
he has no choice but to abandon Luke."
There were too many dark secrets in the Faust family, so Leonard could cause a lot of
problems for them if he wanted. Therefore, Zeke dared not act rashly.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThe reason he dared not act rashly was that he had not gotten rid of Alec yet. With
Leonard in the picture, he would be fighting on two fronts. Even as the head of his family,
he could not handle it.
"Does that mean Leonard is rather capable?’ Jenny asked, her eyebrows raised.
Wondering what she was thinking, Alec glanced at her but did not pursue the matter.
Instead, he replied, "Yes, but unfortunately, he doesn't have a good background or
connections. His current position is probably as far as he can go.*
Ability and talent were not always enough.
Jenny asked, "When you told Stephanie to invite Leonard to dinner, it wasn't just for a
meal, was it?"
Alec, a shrewd businessman, always had a reason for any kindness extended.
"If you already know the answer, why are you asking me?" Alec didn't deny it. He had an
agenda when he asked Stephanie to invite Leonard for dinner.
"Then let's do it tonight. I'll ask Stephanie to invite him. What do you think?' Jenny asked,
looking excited.
It garnered Alec's suspicion. With a scrutinizing gaze, he asked, "Do you have a crush on
Leonard? Do you like him?"
Rolling her eyes, Jenny scoffed and answered, "Please, I just don't want such an excellent
person to go to waste."
She proceeded to eat her food, ignoring Alec.
Alec lightly chuckled, looking at her affectionately. "Are you matchmaking Leonard and
Stephanie?"
"Don't you think they are a good match?" She thought Leonard was a nice person, and he
looked rather handsome too. Wasn't it fate that he was Stephanie's classmate?
Alec was, after all, a friend of Paul's. Hearing her say that, he hesitated for a moment.
"Actually, I think Stephanie still has feelings for Paul. Why don't you let them figure things

"Paul is a bastard who doesn't understand how to respect people. He can't give Stephanie
happiness. He only makes her suffer."
In her opinion, if Stephanie had been interested in Paul, they would have made progress.
However, the last time she saw them, there was clearly no progress, as Stephanie didn't
treat him very well. It was very likely that her friend no longer had feelings for him.
Jenny thought it was a good sign as she didn't think they were a good match in the first
place.
Alec sighed in frustration. "Actually, Paul is a good person. It's just that his upbringing
since childhood has made him not understand what love is, so he did some things that
hurt Stephanie. I believe he has changed now."
As an old friend of Paul's, Alec knew how much Paul liked Stephanie and hoped that Paul
could find his own happiness.
