Caroline nodded. “I can’t be sure, but it’s just a hunch.”

Meanwhile, Daniella had moved back to International Residence. She couldn’t muster the courage to

She anxiously chewed on her nails while curled up on the sofa. “Why is this happening to me? It should
be Caroline who faces everyone’s scorn! How did I become the target? I wish Caroline would pay for
taking everything that’s rightfully mine. She deserves to suffer!”
Suddenly, her phone rang, and she viciously grabbed it when she saw Hector’s caller ID.
“Mr. Hendrix!” Daniella’s face contorted in anger.
Hector remarked nonchalantly, “Can’t handle a single setback?”
“You’re the one who pushed me into this mess! I followed your Instructions, and look where it got me!”
Daniella yelled.
Hector replied calmly, “Think you can shout at me here? Remember, I have evidence of your crimes.”
Daniella exploded. “Go ahead, expose me! What’s the difference between my current situation and
being in prison?”

He hung up, leaving Daniella trembling as she stared at her phone.

Daniella felt a tightening in her chest. “Casey, are… you going to abandon me too?”
Casey chuckled reassuringly. “Don’t talk nonsense. I won’t desert you, no matter how others
misunderstand you.”
Daniella sighed with relief. ‘Casey must have intentionally provoked me earlier to help me regain my
composure.‘
“Where are you? I’d like to see you,” she said, tears welling up.
Casey replied gently, “It’s best if you stay in for now. Send me your address, and I’ll come to you.”
