Although his golems were a lot weaker than the other monsters around, Jake had an advantage… His crystal wolves had the elemental advantage against the fire golems, and their range was a lot larger than theirs. So, he sent them to the southern side of the base, and once they had recovered enough mana after repairing the walls, he began to move.
The golems that had spawned were blocking the vision of the northern area in order not to let the enemies there realize that Jake had left the base alongside the wolves. Jake was hidden among the crystal wolves to make sure that such a thing wouldn't happen too soon. Eventually, the fire golems showed up, and the crystal wolves stopped and bombarded them with their ice projectiles.
"That one, that one, and that one…" Jake thought while firing his bolts enhanced with dark flames.
For some reason, Jake was being a lot more understanding in using long-ranged weapons now… only with magic. He usually wasn't like that. Maybe it was because he wasn't fighting really powerful enemies and because he wasn't willing to dance in the palm of the enemy's hands and show them his skills… more than he already did it. He considered that an improvement in his mindset. It was better to adapt than let his pride control his actions and make things easy for the enemies.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThe fire golems used their skills to charge faster because their numbers were decreasing quite fast, but then the crystal wolves blocked their paths with Ice Walls. Not only were they stopped, but they also suffered damage from the walls when they cracked or fell on their bodies.

In a single minute, half of the battalion of two hundred fire golems fell. Still, Jake decided to retreat when the second battalion began to move. None of his wolves had fallen yet, but he decided to mess with the enemy's mind for a short while. At first, the fire golems didn't know how to react, but then they began to chase the crystal wolves. Naturally, that only worked to help Jake in decreasing their numbers. The remaining monsters of the first group were annihilated, and the leader of the other base lost five hours of work because of their recklessness.
As soon as Jake returned to his base, he checked things in the north, but the humanoid bats still didn't move. Jake's plan worked well. He defeated a decent amount of monsters without letting others decide what to do, and he had some idea of what to do next. Still, first, he decided to take a break and let the wolves recover their mana.
During that time, Jake kept summoning more wolves, and their numbers were almost reaching the four hundred mark. He still felt a bit weird using summoning magic, but Jake didn't feel anywhere the same amount of disgust that he felt when he used common magic. He couldn't understand why that was the case…
After putting half of those around the base, Jake began to move to attack the humanoid bats with his two hundred golems. Their numbers weren't high, but they were sturdier than his wolves… in any case, even though the battalion of golems covered half of the distance between the bases, Jake didn't see any signs of the monsters coming. He didn't know if the enemy ring leader there was being cautious or if they didn't have enough minions to use, but that didn't matter. Once the golems got within the range of the walls of the place that were also made of earth, they began to attack with their Earth Spears.
With each attack, the walls began to tremble and crack. Eventually, when some pieces of it began to fall apart, some humanoid bats showed up to stop the golems… they didn't want to reveal their interior to their newest enemy, after all.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm In any case, the bats began to scream in unison, and Jake felt his ears ringing, but the golems didn't react to that and just attacked them with Earth Bullets. Their firepower was lacking a bit, but Jake compensated for that with his own long-ranged attacks. Once again, without revealing himself…
The enemy only sent one hundred humanoid bats, so Jake wondered if they were up to something… Still, he decided to retreat again after dealing with those guys. The golems weren't that fast, so things might get nasty if the other enemy decided to attack his base.
"This is rather repetitive, but I should keep things like this… it isn't that exciting, but I am satisfied with the growth of my recovery," Jake thought.
Since Jake's goal was to take down the owners of the other bases, he had to decrease the number of lackeys they could use. He couldn't waste too much time fighting the leader, and otherwise, he will lose his own base at the cost of another.
Summoning skills were really handy, and they could level up incredibly fast. Jake's wolves had already reached level seventy. Still, it was hard to imagine them reaching level two hundred before the mission ended. So, when it comes to raw power, they would always lose. That was why Jake had to use them wisely since the other base leaders couldn't use summoning magic.
In any case, Jake kept going like that for more than ten hours. At some point, he realized that it was possible to tell when it was day or night in such a world. Also, during that time, the enemies kept dancing in the palm of his hands, and their number of monsters decreased to a low amount. How could he tell that? The first reason was that everyone who had a base could only get around 1440 monsters per day thanks to the crystals, and the other was the fact that the leader of the fire, Golems, finally left his base to face him with his army of monsters.
