Chapter 214  A Sorted Arrangement

With the two having come to an agreement, Arthur decided that it was time to part.

"I'll wait for you and your team to prepare then. Our meeting place can be any of the inns here." Arthur stated. "And you can always message me of course."

"That will work." Rain replied. "We'll get to it right away." He said before directly logging out.

Rain's body disappeared and Arthur was left alone in the alley.

<nulli>~Phew~

"That went better than I thought…" Arthur muttered to himself, feeling a bit relieved.

Having dealt with Rain, and the Agate E-sports team through him, Arthur now had a general idea of what steps he needed to take next.

'With them, I should be able to take on a few more risky endeavors in the game. I'll have them as support and can make use of them on the pretext of 'exploring' for intel.' Arthur thought to himself.

Being backed by the Agate E-sports team would mean that Arthur could put their members on some of the annoying tasks that one needed to clear before qualifying for some quests.

This didn't mean that he couldn't do them himself, but that they would take him extra effort to do so.

He even had the first few quests that he intended on making use of them for.

'The Priests of Auria and the Ice Dragon…' Arthur thought to himself as he made his way to the inn.

The first quest was something that had been handed to him by Resident Mage Bernard from the Kestrel Village and was the main quest against the Cultists of Iltan.

It was also one of the major quest lines that the players would encounter and would have to resolve to progress further. Of course, this was for the region that Arthur was in and would include over a hundred villages, towns and cities.

For players of the other regions there would be quests of the similar difficulty available to you. The further they went, the more the quests would intersect until eventually they would end up either together in a singular quest or be in opposite sides.

'The Ice Dragon though is something I cannot let anyone else have… it is just for me.' Arthur's class quest needed it and he couldn't leave it.

If he didn't go for it now, he would have to wait quite a long time to be able to attempt another Dragon quest. And it would be a quest where he would have to openly fight them.

Whereas here, Arthur would basically be exploiting it all.

While thinking of all this, Arthur ended up at the Inn and deactivated the Veil of Thousand Skins.

<nulli>~SHUA~ Arthur's appearance reverted to his original form and the equipment that he was wearing became tight on him.

"Ugh… this is really squeezing me." Arthur quickly unwrapped the headgear freeing his face allowing him to breath better.

Being a half shadow elf meant that he had a slender build along with a slimmer skeletal structure. Even for a human it was a bit too small for some of the equipment styles.

He was back in his default clothes and switched back to the Ember Bellow Set.

"That's a lot better." Arthur said feeling the faint warmth of the armor.

He took a look at the time and saw that he had most of the day left.

'Barely past noon in game. I easily have over fifteen hours of playtime left.' Arthur checked.

He wondered what would be the best thing to do right now and reckoned it was just the right amount of time for him to go to mountains behind Trunel Woods.

"If I rush through, I should be able to reach there in just over ten hours. Maybe even earlier." Arthur estimated he could go up the mountains with just enough time left.

Though this also meant that he would have to log out while he was in the wilderness.

'That shouldn't be an issue though. I can find a safe spot or at the very least make one.' Arthur wasn't as afraid of logging out in the wild.

In fact, the other players were the main cause of trouble with logging out in the wild. Since players could basically camp and kill you. It was illegal to do that in the settlements but fully valid in the wilderness.

Of course there was always the danger of wild animals or other monsters and enemies appearing in the area that one had logged out in but it could also be avoided with a little skill.

Arthur had his experience of several years which should help him keep safe.

"At the very least, I won't be killed even if I get ambushed with my stats and Brambles with me." Arthur had confidence in himself.

With that said, he no longer waited and made his way to the gate of the town.

"Going out again, Arzhur?" The guards were the same ones from before.

"Ah, yeah. More jobs for the guild." Arthur replied.

"Good good, soon you'll be a great adventurer." One of them said.

"Not just in our town, but in other towns and the cities." The second one added.

"I hope so. I'll work hard for it, just like you guys do." Arthur replied, making the guards feel a bit flattered.

Complementing and being genial to the NPCs was a good practice and kept them happy which could work in one's favor. Thus Arthur would do it whenever the chance presented himself.

"Be safe, and if you run into trouble don't hesitate to ask us." The guards replied.

"Will do, thanks!" Arthur bid them farewell and entered the Trunel Woods.

Five minutes later, he heard a sound from behind him and smirked.

"Their numbers haven't decreased yet, huh…" Arthur muttered and drew out the Key Spear.

<nulli>~CLANG~

In the next moment, the sound of metal clashing was heard while sparks flew about.

"GUWAAAA~" A Bone Blade Beast stood there with its blades pushing against Dietrich.
