Elisa frowned lightly, then snickered.

just Vincent and me that time. He need not put on an act, then. He could have continued working and

Rachel stopped the conversation.
Elisa lied down. She did not want to care about Gareth any more.
Vincent, however, watched Gareth as he stood in the living room. His face was now more sullen.
Vincent walked towards Gareth's side and spoke softly, "Look, why are you reluctant to say out loud
that you care for her? Do you know whom you look like now?"
Gareth's face darkened. He didn't say a word and wanted to leave, but he didn't go this time. He went
to the sofa and sat down.
Vincent looked at him and spoke helplessly. "Everyone has seen your concern for Elisa today. Why do
you still hide it from her?"
Gareth stared back at him coldly. "I've told you before..."
But this time, before Gareth could finish speaking, Vincent raised his arms helplessly and said. "It's all
right... You can do whatever you want. Have a rest here first. I will make you some instant noodles. I'm
hungry now anyway."
Vincent headed to the kitchen as soon as he finished speaking.
Gareth sat on the sofa alone. Rachel and Elisa had gone to bed and showed no signs of getting up.

Vincent walked out of the kitchen with two bowls of noodles.
