Chapter 422 Sub-Class
One week later.

From the outside, the store that was bought by Isaac looked intimate and cozy. The first floor now had bookshelves spread around the first floor, making it look like an ordinary book store.

There were also soft-looking chairs and couches placed next to the walls. Then, there was a long carpet spanning throughout the whole floor and even went up the stairs.

There were lanterns, gas lamps, and all sorts of light sources that illuminated the floor in warm colors.

The citizens that walked past the store looked interested and wanted to take a look inside, but the sign that said closed stopped their thoughts.

The second floor was dim, not even the slightest of light was seen from there.

Currently, behind the now-cleaned counter, Isaac sat on top of a wooden chair with a soft-padded seat. In front of him was a holographic screen, floating with texts written on it.

During the past week, Isaac had earned XP by doing side-quests and killing sea beasts. His current level was mesmerizing 142 and was at top-level in terms of levels.

After completing the 100th side-quest, he received the sub-class quest and finished it within a day.

Now, he had to choose one of the sub-classes, but Isaac was in a dilemma. He thought about opening the store, but he couldn't choose which class would choose him the best.

The side-quests were mostly helping people, and Isaac's reputation kept climbing upward among the common folk.

His unusual looks made him already semi-popular, and it wasn't a rare sight to see people staying on standby, trying to catch a glimpse at him when he passed the window or left the store.

''What to choose…'' Isaac rubbed his forehead, trying to get his mind gears running. When he looked at the bookshelves and cozy atmosphere, he definitely didn't want to start selling fish that would make the cozy atmosphere ruined.

The stench alone would make him shudder in displeasure.

The musician was rather interesting, but that would need a lot of practice.

His store also didn't fit for the kitchen, so Cook was out of the question. But, remembering Bella, she had the ability to increase his Vitality with her food.

If his cooking ability became so high, maybe he would be able to increase his Vitality until he was almost immortal. But that was a long shot, and he scrapped that idea.

The blacksmith was a no-go. The people in Priesthood doesn't really use metal weapons.

The tailor could have been a nice choice, but it wasn't perhaps the best one for earning money.

The architect was again a good choice. Isaac could use his real-life knowledge to build houses never seen before, but again, it felt rather dull to him.

Spearman was the first option he scrapped. That class was perhaps more suited for people using the Spear.

Even though Isaac had the blade attached to the sniper rifle, using it as a spear didn't really fit him.

Carriage Driver was a useless option. Maybe it would have been good like a month ago, but not anymore.

The doctor was quite a difficult choice because there were players with Medic and Healer classes. They would be able to do the Doctor's job in a matter of seconds.

The farmer was a no-go. There was no way he would leave Priesthood to go farming.

The merchant was alright, but that needed a shrew mind to work, and he would need to be incredibly cunning. That again went against what he wanted to do, and that was to operate the store.

The ist was quite interesting. His store already had that book store vibe. Very cozy, intimate, and warm. Definitely, a good place to read and rent a .

Then, there was Pirate, which would again force him to leave Priesthood to go to the seas, and most likely, he would become a criminal, which would mean he would get kicked out of Priesthood.

''Difficult choice…'' Isaac muttered under his breath.

Knock! Knock!

pᴀɴda nᴏvel A sound of knocking suddenly came from the slightly open door.

Isaac turned toward the sound and saw a man with a priest outfit standing in the doorway.

''Yes?'' Isaac stood up while nodding his head slightly. The shopkeepers need to show some sign of respect toward the Priests and Priestesses. They were, after all, messengers of gods.

''Hello.'' The Priest said and looked around the store before continuing, ''Do you know what happens tomorrow?''

Isaac moved away from the counter and slowly walked toward the door while shaking his head.

The priest waited until Isaac stopped walking, a meter away from him, and said, ''Tomorrow is the day of God Bringing, and since you must not know our culture, everyone gathers in the High Temple at noon.''

''Ah.'' Isaac's eyes widened in surprise.

God Bringing meant that God or Goddess would come tomorrow to make a visit. Everyone would go to the High Temple to welcome God with open arms.

''When the bells ring… Start making your way there.'' The Priest looked outside and saw several shopkeepers peeking through their windows, trying to see what was happening.

''Alright.'' Isaac nodded.

The Priest nodded and mentioned, ''By not going there would make you seem disrespectful, that you don't care about our culture. So, you only have to show your face there, nothing else.''

''I understand…'' Isaac watched as the Priest took a step outside, about to leave, but then he quickly asked, ''Excuse me, are there more people like me going there?''

''Ah… Yes.'' The Priest sighed with a slight heavy look, ''These… So-called Players… Have been some trouble lately… Not you, but some newcomers don't really respect our profession.''

''I see…'' Isaac nodded, and then the Priest finally left.

After closing the door, Isaac returned to his chair and looked at the options. His mind continued running, and his brain was slowly starting to hurt.

''God damn it… Such a difficult choice.'' Isaac closed the holographic screen and continued massaging his temple.
