Chapter 411

Leon stood by the window, gazing at the evening sky outside.

In the current tzone, it was night in Maldonia, but fortunately, the stars shone brightly, creating rare and

pleasant weather.

When exactly did | decide to becthe sect leader?

He couldn't quite recall the specific time. Perhaps it was when he first laid eyes on Milly in Halturia, or maybe it

was when he heard her affectionately call him “Leon” with a smile, or even when he saw her radiant smile under

the moonlight.

Regardless of the timing, it all occurred due to her influence.

He experienced a twinge of regret. He yearned to chase after his moonlight, to embrace her intimately, which

prompted him to assthe position of sect leader.

Upon Leon and King’s arrival, they unexpectedly cacross Raiden and Nimbus at the entrance.

King scoffed, sensing a stroke of bad luck.

Just as they were about to pretend not to notice and leave, Raiden, rare in his firmness, called out from behind

them, “Wait!”

They rarely greeted each other, often pretending not to notice one another.

King spun around, visibly irritated, and demanded, “What do you want?”

Raiden smiled, seeming to be in a good mood. He leisurely approached King, scrutinizing him from head to toe

before speaking. “We're all part of the ssect. It's impolite not to greet or pretend not to recognise each

other, isn't it?”

King, with a disdainful snort, replied, “Why bother greeting a pair of fools?”

“How dare you!”

Raiden was not adept at close-range verbal sparring and quickly turned red with anger after just a few

exchanges, while King felt considerably relieved.

It was perfect timing since he had been holding in frustration and now had someone to direct it towards.

Raiden snorted coldly, “Enjoy it while you can. Soon, you won't be able to laugh. When the new sect leader

returns, let's see if you can still act so arrogant!”

King wasn’t scared at all. Not only had they already decided to kill the new sect leader, but even before that

decision, he had never feared anyone in the Ghost Sect.

“Really? People say you should watch out for the master when you kick the dog, but I've never heard you need

to worry about the dog when dealing with the master!”

“You've got snerve. Say that again!”

Seeing that the two were about to cto blows, Nimbus stepped forward, pulling the furious Raiden behind

him. He looked at King, his face expressionless except for a slight curl of his lips. “King, rather than aggressively

confronting us here, you might want to take care of your own affairs first.”

King sneered, “Weren't you the ones who started this? How did it becus being aggressive?”

Nimbus ignored his sarcastic remark and calmly replied, “As far as | know, just now Oliver returned to Fourth

Branch Sect. Are you aware of this?”

Nimbus was more astute and clever than Raiden, knowing exactly how to strike where it hurt the most.

The close relationship between Oliver, Leon, and King was almost common knowledge within the Ghost Sect.

Leon didn’t belong to any specific branch sect, while King was from the First Branch Sect, which already had a

good relationship with Leon. They naturally wouldn't interfere much. However, Oliver was from the Fourth Branch

Sect, which was notoriously at odds with Leon.

Despite this, Oliver was highly capable and always completed tasks assigned by the Fourth Branch Sect

flawlessly. Because of his abilities, they turned a blind eye and pretended not to notice his associations.

Due to his close relationship with King and Leon, Oliver rarely returned to his branch sect, always sticking with

them instead. But this time...

Surprisingly, he went back on his own accord.

It was clear that something had cbetween them.

King’s face momentarily froze at Nimbus’ words, but he quickly regained his composure. “What happens

between us is none of your business.”

Nimbus smirked slightly. “It’s best that way.”

Then, he grabbed the grumbling Raiden and walked away. Before leaving, Raiden reluctantly jabbed a finger

harshly at King.

King wasn’t one to be intimidated, and he defiantly glared back at Raiden.

After they were gone, the mocking expression on King's face faded into one of concern. “Oliver went back to the

Fourth Branch Sect? What does this mean? Could he really be petty enough to cut ties with us in the future?”

“Can’t believe a grown man acts so immature, picking fights and then running back hlike a child. What kind

of example is that?”

King grumbled on the side, while Leon pursed his lips and remained silent.

He couldn’t even begin to analyse what Oliver was thinking right now. He had never seen him like this before-

broken, gloomy, almost extinguished.

But something about it didn’t sit right with him. Not at all.

But when pressed to pinpoint exactly what was wrong, he couldn’t quite articulate it.

On the side, King grumbled incessantly before finally waving his hand. “Forget it. If he doesn’t want to talk to us,

we won't bother with him either. Let’s give him the cold shoulder for a couple of days. He needs to understand

that crying first doesn’t make him right!”

Leon still stood there, frowning in place without moving.

“Leon? What's wrong?” King called out.

Suddenly, Leon jerked his head up with a deep-seated worry in his dark eyes. “No, | can’t shake this feeling that

something's not right. I'm going to the Fourth Branch Sect.”

Upon hearing this, King’s face turned pale, reluctant. “Why are you going to the Fourth Branch Sect? If you're

looking for Oliver, it doesn’t have to be right now. Besides, you've never gotten along with the Fourth Branch

Sect. Getting in might be easier than getting out.”

Leon suppressed his inner turmoil and hurried forward. “It’s fine, | know what I'm doing. Nothing will happen. Just

wait here for me, Ill be back soon.”

Seeing him ignore his advice, King paced in frustration on the spot. ‘You are so stubborn!”

Finally, he scratched his head. “Alright, alright, I'll go with you.”

The Fourth Branch Sect wasn’t far from where they were. They quickly reached its entrance, and just as King had

predicted, the people inside immediately pointed their guns at them, ready to shoot at any moment.

Leon stood at the doorway, his tone calm. “I'm here to see Oliver.”

Inside, the people exchanged looks, clearly not believing his words.

Leon didn’t care whether they believed him or not. After saying his piece, he marched straight in with a stern

expression, his demeanour giving the impression that he might as well have been the Fourth Branch Sect’s

leader himself.

“Stop! Don’t move!”

‘Don’t take another step, or we'll shoot you!”

“Stop right there!”

The voices were loud, but Leon didn’t halt his steps.
