Chapter 25 Trouble

Deimos

It is halfway through the fourth day of the competition, but all the other rewards are still where they are

supposed to be and | wonder how many are out of the competition already. | can’t wait for this competition to be

over and to find out who survived and who didn’t, “I just hope Zalia survives.” Goliath says in my head.

“If anyone can make it till the end of the competition it will be Zalia, there is no doubt in my mind she will be

able to out smart anyone.“1 answer him and | think about the brunette that showedthat not every female is

power hungry. Zalia, Kali and Elinor showedthat there are still females that want to find their fated Mate and

who will accept him no matter what rank he has.

“Deimos, my office.” King Alwin says and | wonder what is going on. When | walk into King Alwin’s office | see

that everyone is present and | know shit has hit the fan | sit down next to my Dad as King Alwin turns his laptop

around and we all watch in silence as we hear a female talking to the future Alpha of Amber Moon Pack.

“I am not going to tell you who send this to me, just know it is one of the competitors. Not only did Luke - cheat

on his Mate, the female with him was the fated Mate of his Gamma. Alpha James has forced his Son and the

Gamma female to accept the rejections from their Mates, the competitor dealt with everything else.” He says

and | think it is save to say that Amber Moon Pack is out of the competition.

“Dad, what else is on your mind?” Ammon asks and we all smile as King Alwin stares at his Son. “Alpha Brad has

senda request to hand over Moon Stone Pack to his Daughter and he providedwith a list of Pack rules his

Son and the Beta’s Son broke, but there is only one among them that could persuadeto grant him his

request.” King Alwin answers.

We all realize that there probably isn’t enough to grant the request and | decide to address the elephant in the

room. “What rule would that be and what is missing?” | ask him and | can see that Asha and Sila already know

the answer to my question.

“According to Alpha Brad his Son had no intention of appointing Zalia as his Gamma...” He gets interrupted by

Goliath roaring and | have trouble to keep control of him, but when I tell him | want answers he calms down

enough forto pull up a block on him.

“Donovan has made sure that he never said it out loud to his Father or Zalia and that means there is no evidence

to support Alpha Brad's claim. Even the fact that Zalia no longer wants to be his Gamma or that Slater has

accepted the position in another Pack isn’t enough to take the position away from Donovan,

Zalia called Asha to get it of her chest and she plans on traveling after the competition to find her Mate, if that

doesn’t happen she plans on coming here.” He says with a twinkle in his eyes and Axelle asks him why she

wants to chere.

“So we can adopt her.” He answers and Ammon starts nodding his head, he really likes that idea. He asks Asha if

Zalia really said that and when she confirms it a huge grin appears on his face, “I will keep her close to me, that

way my days won't be as boring anymore.” He says and we all laugh our asses off at the prospect of Zalia

moving into the Palace.

Goliath and Lare not to happy with the fact that she wants to travel to find her Mate, but we both know she has a

right to find her fated Mate and | hope she will fil someone that will accept her for who she is. A male that will

treat her like the Princess she is.

We talk about what happened at Moon Stone Pack and Amber Moon Pack for the next few hours, we have

our lunch served in the King’s office to keep talking and about an hour before dinner Axelle tells us to get to our

oms to get ready for dinner. | walk to our floor with Dad and he askswhat I think about Zalia’s decision.

“Dad, she is an amazing female and a hell of a Gamma Donovan is an Idiot for not seeing that, | hope that

wherever she ends up she gets a chance to show him what he is missing and | hope she finds a Mate that will

appreciate Zalia for who she is.” | answer him as | walk towards my bedroom and Dad says he agrees with me.

During dinner several alarms are heard at eight and well now that day five of the competition has started. We

have enough work to do, but everyone is also curious who will becthe next Royal Pack and right now | hate

the fact that we won't know who won our side bet until the competition is over.

After dinner Dad and | head up to our floor and spend the evening on the couch. We talk about fated Mates and

second chance Mates, | am still waiting for my fated Mate and Dad is happy | won't give into Mayka, Dad still

hopes he will find his fated Mate someday, but he fears he lost that chance when he chose Mavka as his chosen

Mate.

| sit up straight when | hear my phone buzz and | smile when | see that my Grandmother is calling, “Hello, Nana.

How are your

doing fine. | just called going?” | ask her as | pur the phone on the coffee table in front of us. “I am

doing fine. | just called to hear how the competition is going.” She answersand | know she hopes we can tell

her who is winning the side bet.

“Sorry, Mom. We have no answers for you.” Dad says. “We won't know until the competition is over, but | wish

we would be able to find out who is still in the competition. Deimos and | have bet on different Packs and

different ranks, but a part ofhopes that Asha and Sila win the bet.”

We explain to Nana who they bet on and why we hope that he will be the first one to be taken out of the

competition, but Nana isn’t easily fooled. “Why do | get a feeling that the two of you are hiding something?” She

asks and Dad tells her about Zalia. How she made the meeting a lot more interesting and how she speaks her

mind.

“Ammon wants her as his baby Sister and Zalia has told Asha that she will move to the Palace if she doesn’t find

her Mate during her travels. It will make things a lot more lively around here and she will probably get Deimos’

position.” Dad tells her and Nana and | are laughing our asses off, he is probably right about her taking my

position.

“Well, I would like to see how she would handle Mavka Nana says and Dad and | slide of the couch as we are

laughing our asses off. “Don’t tell| missed out on that.” Nana yells at us and all Dad and | can do is nod our

heads, it takes a while before either one of us is capable of talking.

| tell her what Slater did and Nana is laughing her ass off, she would have loved spending twith both Slater

and Zalia. We talked to Nana for a few more hours, before we turn in for the night and she tellsthat she will

be there when the competition is over before she hangs up.

When | wake up the next morning | find that no other rewards have been claimed, what if no one else was smart

enough to either find the hint or to understand it and | am not sure which one | am hoping for.

Zalia

After we leave Amber Moon Pack | head to Little River Pack to meet up with Slater, he has agreed to take in

Luke’s Gamma and to allow him the tto make up his mind. | will take Luke's former Mate withto Moon

Stone Pack and from there we will figure out what she’s going to do, | know | will inform King Alwin in the

morning, he needs to be aware of the fact at Luke hurt his mate on purpose and that he used his Gamma'’s fated

mate to make it happen.

Uncle Richard and Slater are waiting on the front porch as we approached the Pack-house and after | have made

the introductions Uncle Richard guides Luke's Gamma into the Pack-house. Slater and | are discussing the

competition as | keep an eye on Luke’s former Mate and | see her slowly drifting off to sleep, “I just hope she

finds a second chance Mate and that he will be a hell of a better Mate than Luke ever was.” | say to Slater.

Suddenly the front door bursts open and | see Dagda, the future Alpha of Little River Pack, rush out the door.

With the way he is acting you don’t need to be a genius to figure out that he has found his Mate and if | hadn't

known the history between Luke and his former Mate | would be laughing my ass off, but in this case | decided it

is best if | stop Dagda from making a huge mistake.

“Dagda, | need you to take it slow, she was mated to Luke of Amber Moon Pack and instead of accepting her

rejection he slept with his Gamma’s fated Mate to hurt her.” | say to him as he approaches us and once he

realizes what my words exactly mean his wolf releases a mighty roar, waking up the entire Pack no doubt

“Zalia, | will never hurt her the way Luke did but if she is more comfortable staying with you for a while | will

accept that. | will do anything | can to make my Mate happy and to keep her safe. Dagda tellsand | know he

will do exactly as he said, even if it means to be a part from his mate. Something that isn't easy for an Alpha

Wolf who has found his Mate.

| hear the door of my car opening and | know that Jasmine is getting out, “I would like to stay with Zalia at least

for tonight, | know not every male is like Luke but | don’t know how long it will take forto cto terms with

what he did. | promise you though that I will not go anywhere, if you needyou know where you can find me

and | will let you know real soon what | plan on doing. Jasmine tells him, we both know it’s not what Dagda

wanted to hear but | also know he will accept it.

After Jasmine has allowed Dagda to hug her she gets back into the car and | say my goodbyes to Slater, Bellona

and Dagda, | am glad Slater and Bellona will be there for Dagda if he has trouble with being away from Jasmine.
