Chapter 44 Realization Zalia My jaw drops when I recognize the Lycan above Deimos head, it is a perfect copy of Twilight and I know Leander helped whoever made this bed. "Then that must be Goliath." Twilight says as she looks at the Lycan on the other side of the headboard and I can feel my eyes filling with tears at the sweet thought.

"Are you planning on just staring or are you coming to bed?" I hear Deimos ask and I don't hesitate as I jump onto the bed, straight into his arms. He just holdsane in his arms as I inhale his scent and I can feel my eyes slowly closing, fast asleep before I get to say a word to Deimos.

Deimos Goliath is tellingto wake up, but all I want is to stay sleep with Zalia's scent filling my dream, "That isn't your dream, she is here. Our Mate is here." Goliath growls and as I slowly open my eyes I see her staring at the carving of Goliath, something the carpenter cup with. Leander was able to describe Twilight to him and he had seen Goliath enough to make the drawing himself.

I see her eyes becwatery and the moment she jumps into my arms I finally feel at peace, I want to ask her about the competition but she is asleep before I get the chance. Luckily there is always tomorrow and I pull her closer to my chest as I bury my nose in her hair, just like Zalia I quickly drift off to sleep.

Another mighty roar wakesin the morning and one look at my Mate tellsthat she is responsible for whatever Eryx is mad about, "See you in a bit." I say before I jump out of the bed and run up the stairs to the Royal Beta floor, finding a pissed off Eryx and a hysterical laughing Sila.

I follow Eryx's line of sight and see that the picture of his Grandmother is gone, but the moment he turns towardsI am laughing my ass off. "I hope you took a picture of that, Angel." I say to Zalia through the mind- link and before she can answerI cut the links Alwin and Axelle walk onto the Royal Beta floor.

Within minutes of each other everyone is here and each of us is laughing their ass off, but Eryx doesn't seem to understand it isn't because of the missing picture. "I locked every door on this floor, how the hell did anyone get onto our floor?" He asks and Dad asks him if he locked the balcony doors.

"Of course not, no one in their right mind would try to enter a room by using the balcony. No one can make that jump up there from your floor and the drop down would be too noisy." Eryx answers and we all agree with him but I know that someone is capable of doing just that.

Dad and I walk back down to our floor and Dad squeals the moment he spots Zalia in our living room Goliath is laughing his ass off in my head while I do my best to keep a straight face. "Goodmorning, Liam. Sorry for the rude awakening." Zalia says as she looks at him. "You didn't, sfuture Royal Beta..." Dad doesn't continue when it finally hits him and he is laughing his ass off.

"You wrote... that on his... forehead." Dad manages to say in between laughs and I am laughing my ass off because of the smug look on her face. “That is what you get for challenging me." Zalia says before she tells us about the notes on every door on their floor and Dad quickly realizes that she was able to make the jump up and down.

"Maybe you should find another nicknfor me." Zalia says as she snuggles into my side. "Nope, not going to happen. You are our Angel" I say before I place a kiss on her head, we sit there for a few moments longer and then I tell her I have to get dressed for breakfast. "Please, tellit will be in the main dining room." She says as she looks up at me.

I say and she tellsshe will handle everything on Our On the landing of our private wing Dad and I wait for the others and when I look up at the paintings I see that another reward is gone, Dad walks to our other main dining room to check the last reward. Eryx probably didn't waste too much tin the bathroom er he was too preoccupied to pay attention, because Zalia's writing is still on his forehead.

Leander walks in through the front door and I hear hire talking about the missing picture from their floor. but the moment he sees his Brother he bursts out in laughter. "What is so funny?" Dixon asks before he turns towards Eryx and despite covering his mouth with both hands we can all tell that he is also laughing his ass off.

"All the rewards have been claimed, Your Majesty.” I state as we walk into the dining room and I walk around the room before I sit down in my seat. It allowed Zalla to hear the comments everyone gave to her writing and I am glad I can keep somewhat of a straight face as I listen to the comments.

"Who did he piss off?" "Is the mirror in his bathroom broken?" "Who will be the first one to tell him?" Each of them valid questions and I hear Zalia laughing in my head. Asha doesn't look at Eryx during breakfast, not even when he asks her a question and that seems to piss him off even more. Leander keeps staring at him and the angrier Eryx looks the harder Leander laughs.

"Still planning on adopting her?" I ask Alwin through the mind-link and for a moment he is to stunned to respond, Are you fucking kidding me? How did she pull that off? Alwin asks through the mind-link and I tell him he can ask her in a few days when the competition is over.

Day thirteen of the competition is spend with another night with my Mate in my arms and every free moment during the day I spent with Zalia, finding the items we want to decorate our floor or our bedroom with. I plan delivery for after the competition is over and I hate the fact that I will have to spend a night without her, but she needs to go home.

Day fourteen of the competition starts with another night of holding my Mate and in the morning I get hit with reality when she tellsshe has to make sure her belongings get packed up. She has called her Dad and her friends to help out and Goliath tellsto steal her shirt, it will be able to help him through the night.

"Dad just confirmed that all my belongings are packed and moved to Gaia's house, my team will follow us here but they will stay out of side. Is there a guard you trust that can be placed at the gate that day?" Zalia asksand I link one of my childhood friends, he is one of the best Warriors we have. He tellsthat we can count on him, he even offers to help them to bring everything to our floor.

At eight the competition is finally over and Zalia's device switches to "Survivor" before it turns off. "Thank the Goddess, if I never see it again I will die a happy woman." She exclaims the moment the screen goes dark and I pull her in my arms as I no longer have to worry about that damn thing.

Dad is waiting with us until it is tfor Zalia to head home, "Liam, can you make sure my backpack gets down to the Throne room? I am going to need it." She says as she hands it to him and he tells her that it will be there when she gets back the following morning We guide her out of the living room, but when we get to the door she stops us and steps into the corridor. A moment later there is a knock on the door and Dad quickly walks to the other side of the living room entrance, I open the door to see King Alwin standing in front of me. "Is she still here?" He whispers the question and from the corner of my eye I see her exiting the corridor.

"Cin, Alwin." I say as I open the door wider, keeping myself between Zalia and Alwin until I can close the intill door "What can I do for you, Alwin?" Zalla asks and he jumps a little when he hears her voice, "Don't do that, Zalia." He mumbles as he walks into the living room.

"I want to know how you plan on handling things in the morning, everyone will know your Deimos at Mate if you show up at breakfast and your Alpha will miss you at the Pack as well." Alwin says and Zalia tells him not to worry about it, "I would have been on my way out if you hadn't shown up and I still plan on leaving for Moon Stone Pack." She answers him.

A few minutes later I guide her to the, backdoor and again she stopswhen I want to open the door. I listen for a 'ollisten second beforex hear Leander passing the door while he is talking to his partner for tonight's patrol. "I have four minutes before he is back, see you in the morning. I love you." My Angel says through the mind-link as she hugs me. Before I realize what she is going to do she opens the backdoor and in mere seconds the is gone, I can't even smell her scent when I walk out of the backdoor. fuck. "Goliath growls in my head as we both realize what just happened.
