Chapter 1003
Patrick had more to say, but then Cordy deliberately provoked him, "So, you want John to have me
instead? Is that it?"
Patrick promptly snapped in agitation. 'No! Of course not!’
Cordy smiled-she certainly understood that.
However, Patrick was just too good to her. He was always putting her first before all else, and was
especially worried that she would be hurt.
"I want to be with you forever," Patrick said as he reached out, clearly unable to resist taking her hand.
However, perhaps embarrassed for some reason or another, he couldn't actually touch her. Cordy

Was he embarrassed?
Come to think of it, it was understandable since this was the first time she was dating a woman.
As such, Cordy reached out to take his hand instead.
Patrick looked at her in surprise; the next instant, he took her dainty hand firmly in his and didn't let go,
as if afraid someone would take her away.
At that, Sean left quietly-he was a third wheel, anyway.
He headed to the open balcony of the hospital and started smoking.
He was a little frustrated, as so much had been going on lately.
Still, he was halfway through his first cigarette when a familiar voice called out to him. "Sean Cranston."
Sean turned to find John standing there. He quickly turned back to the horizon while asking flatly,
"What is it?’

because of his lingering attachment to Cordy. He would have been chased away; hell, he might be
sleeping with the fishes if Nana wasn't so hell bent on having him.
In other words, John wasn't supposed to know anything the Lynds were up to. Yet, he found out
anyway.
How smart was he, actually?
’I’m just good at observing and deducting. I could tell that my wedding's not an accident, and a simple
deduction makes everything obvious."
A simple deduction?!
Sean and Cordy had to move heaven and earth, just to find out that the Lynds were after their heads!
Sean pursed his lips-there was certainty a reason why John had been the man he took an interest in all
those years ago.
In fact, John might even be more capable than what he gave him credit for. Things would certainly run
smoothly if they worked together, and yet...
