Abyss of Dual Cultivation: Goddess's Lust system
Chapter 146 - Taking Advantage - Part 1While the elder trio was busy talking, Damian decided to look around the place. He had seen a lot of interesting and a few suspicious-looking people roaming around.
Usually, Damian was not one to poke around in other people’s business but he could not help but notice the people keeping an eye on his group.
There were a few groups who were looking at them with interest but there was one group in particular that irked Damian.
Mainly because they were staring at him. He even tested their gaze by moving a little away from the group but those idiots were still staring at him.
He could almost imagine their idiotic ambitions behind their calm facades.
“Hey, kid. Can you come with us for a bit? I have something to show you.”
Damian almost scoffed at the careless approach. He almost wanted to kill the man who had approached him but then stopped. Aurora’s warning rang inside his mind and Damian decided to be careful.
Since he did not know if killing at this place was safe or not, he decided to hold back his murderous intentions for now.
“Alright. What did you want to show me?”
Damian decided to follow after the man without much thinking. It was not like he was going to get killed anyway.
And he could tell that these people had some kind of interest in him but they were not taking him seriously enough. So he wanted this chance to gather information from the humans.

“As if. The abyss is too dangerous for my son so I’ll never bring him here. But this kid here is someone who can help us out.”
Damian felt insulted that these goons didn’t even bother remembering his name. But thinking about it, it was a good thing that Damian was not recognized.
“This kid? Help us? As if that is even possible. I can’t even sense any magic coming off this kid. You better wash him off your hands or it’ll come back to bite you.”
Damian felt wary of this new guy. He could tell that he was intelligent and had more common sense than the other cheering people around him.
But thankfully for Damian, the rest of the people around him were him were muscle-heads and only laughed off the man’s warning.
“Come on, Hughes. He’s just a kid so you don’t need to be this cautious. Besides, this kid looks like he has no one else but us on his side. His poor guardians were also stupid enough to send him into the abyss without any responsible adult.”
Damian wanted to retaliate against those claims. He did not need a guardian to look after himself, but a trustworthy group to watch his back.
But he had studied enough war tactics to know that appearing ignorant will help him conceal the truth.
“Fine. If you want to keep the kid Arlo then he is your responsibility. Just know that I don’t want anything to do with you.”
“Of course not. The kid will be handed over to someone ‘trustable’ as soon as we reach our base anyway.”
Arlo tried to hide his intentions behind an ugly laugh but Damian figured out what he wanted pretty easily.
So these low-lives were thinking of selling Damian off, huh? He would show them how bad of an idea that was.
===========================
The panic of losing Damian did not last long. Aurora was already on the case and she had Damian’s location mapped out in a matter of minutes.
She had also sent a message to Damian but the younger had just given a line single reply of ‘I’ll take care of it.’
Normally Aurora would have been contented to leave Damian to do what he wanted to but she was worried about the effects of the abyssal energy on Damian.
Chances were that he would not even notice the energy of the abyss. Most humans did not feel it. But there had never been an outlander who had ventured into the abyss before.
So Damian’s case was a new one.
“Hoh? The kid is asking us to stay back? But of course, we will not sit back and take it. Let’s hurry and catch up with him.”
Natasha sounded pissed off and for good reasons. She had enough experience of being used as a child so her anger was justified.
Rita was the one most excited to go after Damian. Not that Aurora did not agree with her sentiment to hurry up.
“Rita, you should go ahead and catch up with Damian. Make sure he does not do anything stupid like killing those humans. We can still put them to good use.”
Most of the time, Aurora would not even consider letting such low lives live but she had an idea this time. She needed manpower to gather information and such people were the perfect henchmen for the job.

“So, we are not killing these scums who kidnapped Damian? I thought we were going to kill them outright to drive our point across.”
“We could. But alternatively, we can also use those scums to further our agenda. Which one do you think will cause them more pain in the long run?”
Aurora’s words caused a grin to manifest itself on Rita’s face. Even Amanda looked amused at what Aurora was purposing.
“What are you saying? We are not going to make those people suffer, we will make them wish they were dead instead.”
Natasha’s voice was like a sweet poison to Aurora’s ears. It promised death and destruction to the subject of her displeasure.
“You can do what you want to. Now, Rita, you should hurry up and follow after Damian. I did send him a message but I don’t think he saw it.”
With a heavy and exaggerated sigh, Rita hurried and called one of her sealed summonses.
The seals were embedded with Rita’s powers and could be used in emergencies to call upon her sealed powers.
In other words, it was stored power and could only be used because the summons was an external entity with their magic.
“So, should we follow after her?”
“We shall. But first, let’s give Rita a little bit of a head start while we take care of other eyes on us.”
Aurora had sent Rita ahead because she was the most vulnerable one and being protected would have hurt her pride.
But now with Rita gone, Aurora and Natasha could easily take care of the left over trash that was eying them for profit.
