As more and more guests arrived, there was a great commotion in the banquet hall. “Hello, I’m the
regional chief of Aurumvale. I wish General Murray a year filled with health and happiness!”
“I’m Cullen Avery from Advantia. May General Murray’s birthday be as wonderful as the memories
you’ve created.”
“I’m the president of the Haydon Group. I wish General Murray a birthday filled with love and gratitude!”
After their arrival was announced, a group of well-dressed guests entered the room. Among them were
leading military leaders, mayors, affluent business moguls, and prominent figures. They all had rare
and valuable gifts with them.

patriarch, warmly welcomed the guests. Christopher, the man of the hour, acknowledged the well-
wishes with a smile.
“Sir Gage has arrived!”
A clear voice cut through the chatter, and all eyes turned to the entrance. A middle-aged man dressed
in white entered. He was accompanied by two cloaked figures whose faces were hidden.
“Isn’t that General Murray’s youngest son, Gage Murray?” someone whispered.
“I heard he had conflicts with his family and disappeared for years. Who would have thought he’d return
today?”
“It’s only right that a son comes back and celebrates his father’s birthday,’ another remarked.
Christopher had three sons: Edgar, the oldest; Caden, the middle; and Gage, the youngest.
Gage was notable and known for his bravery and intelligence. He was the designated family heir, but
then something strange happened. He suddenly left home, and for five years, no one knew where he
went. Today, he surprisingly reappeared.
“Gage?” Edgar exclaimed joyfully and rushed up to embrace him. “It’s been so many years, and you’re
finally back!”
“Edgar, have you been well all these years?” Gage smiled weakly.
“Everything is going splendidly! It’s wonderful to see you again after all this time. You’ve become even

“Gage, why didn’t you inform us earlier that you’re coming back?” Caden added cheerily.
“I figured I’d surprise you all. You won’t be mad at me, will you?” Gage teased.
“You’ve come back, and I couldn’t be happier. How could I be mad at you? As the saying goes, united
we stand, divided we fall. We three brothers can build a bright future together with your return!” Caden
said.
“Alright, let’s not dwell on this now.’ Edgar interrupted.and led Gage to Christopher. “Dad, guess who
has returned.”
“Father, I’ve come back to celebrate your birthday,” Gage said respectfully, presenting his gift with both
hands.
Christopher didn’t reach out to accept it. Instead, he snorted coldly. “You left home, and now you dare
to come back?”
