The second hand pierced through sand, spraying tons of it into the air, and fall down causing another earthquake, as finally the horned head of Moloch got revealed, its horns, and sharp teeth. The monster growled, causing the earth to vibrate, and the ground to shake.
Some of the drones started to malfunction from the vibration. A couple of even fell down, crashing on the ground.
He observed the scene in shock, just like the audience.
This was an opportunity I just couldn't ignore, so I pulled my pudao out of the vault and rushed forward to join my troops.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtWith few swings, I decimated the frontline, and made it deeper, creating an opening for the fiends. They followed, but quickly got cut off from me, be the undead who blocked their path, trying to surround me. I kept pushing as Gavriil's soldiers were too weak to stop me until they weren't. A tall man with a giant claymore attacked me, bringing his blade down from above.
I blocked the attack, but it was powerful, and created a shockwave, spraying the sand, just as even more of it hit the arena, from the moloch's reveal. I slammed the dead warrior with an open palm, sending him sliding on the ground furder, and knocking down more soldiers on his path. He eventually stopped and charged forward, just like me, we clashed again, this time avoiding each other's swings, which created a mall sandstorm around us. The exchange accelerated even more very quickly, and the air was buzzing from our blades plowing through it.
I noticed that Semenov turned around because of my sudden assault, but I was too busy to watch what he was doing.
I have to admit. That one guy I was clashing with was pretty strong, but still no match for me. One small opening was all I needed to pierce through his defenses and cut him in half horizontally. I jumped forward, going straight at Gavriil. Maybe I lost my tempo, but I quickly regained momentum, since the fight with that soldier, created some space around, and I was free to move.
In the last moment, I gave it all, breaching the sound barrier, and arriving straight at the vampier's face. I dragged my weapon from below, cutting through the ground upwards. He avoided it in the last second, and the air pressure caused by my attack destroyed one of the screens on the wall.
Seconds later the undead of his army created a bunch of barriers around him, and I noticed that he was trying to get inside my mind with some psychic powers, but he was matched with the hungry thoughts of countess shadows from The Void and forced to retreat.
This caused panic on his face. I actually made the mistake of focusing on that too much, as a shit ton of spells just slammed into me, sending me flying and tumbling on the ground. I had to shadow walk, to lose the kinetic energy, and regain my balance.
Gavriil used this window to fly using psychic powers. He basically yanked himself out of the space and threw deeper into the ranks of his undead. Some of them kept fighting with my shadows, while a bigger chunk focused on me. I saw charging fighters, and mages casting spells.
They were like an avalanche coming straight at me. I had an easy way of dealing with them, but I didn't want to reveal all my cards, so I just summoned more shadows, and rushed towards my real target, the general of an undead army.
I noticed him taking off the knitted sweater, and then he bit his own forearm, tearing a big piece of his own flesh. The blood sprayed all over him but immediately froze in the air. It was a familiar view. A flashback from my first confrontation with the lizardfolk boss, the 'Hemomancer', went through my head.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmI knew exactly how annoying that can be, so I shadow walked close enough to strike him, and I put all my might into that attack, I was too slow though, and I knew it almost in the same moment my blade plowed through the air. The giant crystal assembled right in front of it, and both objects clashed.
I managed to shatter it partially, but the defense was strong enough to withstand it in the end. The blast of a shockwave was so strong, it made all the sand around disappear, and pushed it all the way to the walls. Some of the undead, alongside my shadows, that were close enough, got blasted into space. More of the drones fell down, and some TV screens just stopped working.
I knew that I can't allow myself to lose my tempo there, since the blood skills were quite dangerous, so I shadow walked to the opposite side, in midswing, and dragged my blade down, just to hit another crystalized blood structure, and cause even more devastation to the electronic equipment.
- Rahahahaha! - Gavriil laughed. - You can't hit me!
- Shut the fuck up - was my reply, as I shadow walked again, delivering another crushing blow, that was blocked by his skill.
I gritted my teeth, and just flooded him with a barrage of consecutive blows, mixed with shadow walks, to change the angle and the direction of every single one of them, devastating his crystals, but despite all my efforts, I just couldn't break his shell.
He couldn't attack me either, which put us in a strange position. I had some options, but I was hesitant to use them, and while I was thinking of it, an idea came to me.
