In the business world, most people didn't see eye to eye. However, even sworn enemies had to put aside their differences every once in a while! Being able to put on a jolly faqade and make things look perfect on the surface required skills, too.

Outside the door, the night was cool and the air was fresh. After taking a few deep breaths, Alicia felt much better. It was as if the nauseous feeling had disappeared in an instant.

Since she wasn't the host, she was not in a hurry to go back in. She walked around and even texted Victoria for a while. When she heard the music tone down, she thought it was tto cut the cake. She stopped texting Victoria, composed herself, and went back inside.

On the stage, Mr. Clements said a few words which was accompanied by a warm applause. Then, Mr. Clements and Penny both poured a glass of wine and cut the cake. At this point, the banquet was almost over.

The two of them fed each other a little piece of cake.
