By the time Ian returned from the balcony after making the call, Kelly had already prepared a table full of food.

She waved at him and said, “Mr. Walter, come and eat.”

Dinner was prepared to Ian’s taste. Since he had been injured previously, some ingredients that were beneficial for his recovery were added.

Kelly thought, ‘I feel like I’ve been really putting my heart and soul into taking care of Ian lately, being so attentive. If he still doesn’t forgive me after all that I’ve done, I really don’t know what to do.‘

“Sit here, Mr. Walter,” Kelly said. She stood up and pulled out a chair for Ian.

Ian remained silent and expressionless. He simply nodded faintly and sat down.

“Try it,” Kelly said. “How’s the food today?” She ingratiatingly served Ian, picking up a bit of each dish for him.

Ian’s heart was practically blooming with happiness, but on the surface, he remained reserved, wearing an indifferent expression and eating with elegant

gestures.

Kelly did not eat much. Instead, she kept observing Ian.

She was very sensitive to lan’s emotions, especially when it came to anger. If he showed even the slightest hint of being upset, Kelly could pick up on it.

After observing for a long while, she noticed that Ian’s attitude was very calm. Not only was there no trace of anger, but there was also a strange emotion lingering around him.

“Because she said something negative about you!” Kelly snorted coldly and said. “That’s too much! She actually said that you’re a kept man. I had a big argument with her, even though the reason she called you a ‘kept man‘ is because you look handsome and have that look of wanting to live off a woman. She was momentarily stunned, so she blurted it out.”

As Kelly spoke, she looked at Ian’s expression. At first, he was surprised. Then, he looked puzzled. Finally, the corners of his mouth curled up slightly. He seemed to be in a very good mood.

Kelly knew that she had done the right thing.

She continued, “Although there’s a reason behind that remark, she did offend you at the end of the day. That is unacceptable. Mr. Walter, don’t worry. You don’t need to handle this matter personally. Leave it to me.”

“Leave it to you?” Ian said as he leaned back in his chair. His eyes were as exquisite and beautiful as breathtaking landscapes. He said with a faint smile, “Why should I leave it to you?”

When Kelly said this, her tone was extremely firm, and her eyes shone with remarkable determination.
