Chapter 1367
If Lydia didn't recognize him, Quincy would leave her to rest. He knew she was drunk, and he didn't want to take
advantage of the situation.
"Quincy, | could never forget your face. Do you really think | wouldn't know it's you?" Lydia looked at him, her
voice slightly slurred.
Though her vision was hazy under the dim light, her emotions were clear. She was letting herself believe this was
a dream, one where she could finally release all the feelings she had kept bottled up for so long. She repeated
Quincy's name, over and over. Hearing her say his nwas intoxicating to Quincy, more so than any alcohol.

he was about to call the police, he spotted Quincy leaving the hotel.
A surge of anger gripped him as he rushed inside. Using the excuse that he had lost something valuable, he
convinced the front desk to let him see the security footage.
When he saw Quincy in the video, heading to a room, Eugene's suspicions were confirmed. He quickly found out
the room number and headed straight there.
It didn't take long for him to break into the room. As he walked in and saw Lydia asleep on the bed, rage filled
him. His suspicions were true. Quincy had spent the night with her.
How could this have happened?
After all the lengths he had goneto, all the manipulation, all the surveillance he had set up to stay close to Lydia,

The marks on her neck made it painfully clear how intense the previous night had been.
In a surge of frustration and desperation, Eugene started to unbutton his shirt. He wanted Lydia for himself, and
now that she was here, vulnerable, it felt like his
chance. But just as he was about to make his move, Lydia shifted in her sleep.
Startled, Eugene quickly buttoned his shirt back up. No, he couldn't go through with this. She could wake up at
any moment, and he couldn't risk it. But leaving felt like giving up.

After a moment of hesitation, he slid onto the bed beside her. He stared up at the ceiling, his mind replaying the
