Chapter 588 Her gaze shifted back to Wilfred.
He looked at her with a casual, unbothered expression. This was no longer surprising to him.

"How could you giveyour blood?" Nina's voice was filled with reluctance. "I would have woken up eventually. You didn't need to cut your wrist to help me. It's harmful to you. I don't need you to do that." Wilfred smiled, as if this was the easiest thing he had ever done. "It's just a bit of blood. It won't kill me." "You can't say that. You mustn't do it again!" Nina firmly opposed. "With me, you are a person who deserves respect, not an animal, and certainly not someone who needs to sacrifice themselves for anyone else. You are free. Don't bind yourself." Nina wanted to convey that he did not need to continue his old ways. She wanted him to return to a normal life.
Wilfred understood that she was worried about him, and that was enough for him. "I know. You don't need to worry too much about me." "Remember what I said. From now on, we're friends. If you ever need my help and I can provide it, I will," Nina said. "By the way, what about that girl who was with you, Scarlett? I haven't seen her since that time. Do you know how she's doing?" "You care about her a lot," Wilfred remarked.
"She's also very pitiful," Nina replied.
Although she could not remember that part of her past, the fact that Scarlett had not killed her indicated that there was skind of connection between them. Out of all of them, she was the only one living openly and wanted to help them escape from the organization.
Wilfred, however, did not see it that way. If it had not been for that injection, Nina would not have been poisoned. But he did not voice this thought.
Nina decided to take a walk in the garden. She had dismissed all the helpers because she could not afford to keep them. Without the title, she did not need so many people serving her. She could live on her own.
The house was hers, but it felt much emptier now. The flowers and plants in the garden seemed to have wilted. She bought new plants and started gardening. She loved roses and bought several rose bushes-red, white, pink, all sorts of varieties.

With sfree time, she watched TV, scrolled through her phone, and caught up on recent news. She also noticed several missed calls.
There were calls from Yvonne, Angel, and former colleagues. Just as she was contemplating whether to call back, Yvonne's call cthrough.
Yvonne sounded furious. "What's going on between you and Nash? Weren't you two getting along? could you get a divorce? And now divorced? How he's legitimizing that shameless woman? This is outrageous! He was so desperate for you not long ago. How can he be involved with that witch again? This doesn't make sense! Nina, what's going on?" Yvonne was livid. She had not been in touch with Nina for a few days and suddenly felt like everything had changed.
Nina had spent the past few days at hwith her phone turned offm avoiding TV and the outside world to avoid the inevitable gossip about her divorce from Nash.
