Seth pointed to another row of vials. "The antidotes are over there." Both the poisons and antidotes were labeled with numbers, making it impossible to distinguish which was which.
Seth looked at Nash and continued, "What do you think of my proposal?" Nash turned his gaze back to Seth. "Does it have to be a collaboration?" Seth smiled. "You're about to marry my daughter. I consider you family. If you're unwilling, it shows you don't respect me." At his words, Seth's men began to shift, ready to draw their guns.

Nash asked, "Where's the antidote?" Seth feigned ignorance. "What antidote?" Nash's voice turned icy. "The antidote for Nina." Seth's expression darkened. "You're still hung up on her." Nash quickly dove behind the sofa to avoid the attack.
"Ah-" Miranda screamed, startled by the sudden violence. Seeing Nash in danger, she pleaded, "Dad, no! Don't kill him!" She threw herself in front of Seth, her emotions clouding her judgment.
Seth looked at her, exasperated. "Can't you see? He's using you!" Miranda, tears streaming, remained in denial. "No, he just wants the antidote. He loves me, Dad..." Seth, frustrated, pushed her aside forcefully. Miranda fell hard to the ground.
