1359 Storm in the Capital (2)
On the Great Qian Planet—
There was a huge military fortress stationed in the northwest region, bigger than the capital itself.
Numerous heavy force weapons had been set up in the battle fortress, while ships were floating in the air above. Security was tight.
Teams of martial warriors with powerful auras would make patrol rounds, looking for any abnormalities.
All the arrangements gave the fortress a stern and cold vibe.
It was a forbidden ground!
The fortress was the second most important area on the planet. No one would dare to make trouble there.
In first place was… the Great Qian Palace!
The former served as headquarters of the empire’s military, a place that everyone respected and yearned to be part of.
It was a great honor for any general to enter the place.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThe Great Qian Empire treated their military extremely well.
Such preferential treatment was the result of the blood and lives given by martial warriors. The general public would have no chance to enjoy a peaceful life without all those fighters deployed on the various defense planets to block the dark forces.
Furthermore, the generals posted there held strong military power and had amazing battle abilities. No one would dare fight against the military.
In a nutshell, the status of the military was sacrosanct. There was only respect for them.
Just then, in one of the fortress’ halls—rays of light were suddenly manifested.
They were holograms, not real humans. However, they looked extremely real.
No one spoke; all of them sat quietly around the hall.
“Everyone, what do you think about the battle on Defense Planet No. 29?” said a calm voice that resounded in the hall.
The person speaking wasn’t in the hall. The voice seemed to come out of nowhere, as if originating from a different dimension.
Everyone was used to it, remaining composed yet frowning a little when they heard the question. They were contemplating how to answer.
The voice posed another question, “Is there anything abnormal on the other defense planets?”
“Nothing abnormal has been found,” replied a middle-aged general. Based on his attire, his general rank could be gleaned.
“The battle on Defense Planet No. 29 was unusual,” someone said. It was another general.
“That’s right, it was unusual.”
Everyone instantly caught on and nodded in agreement.
“However, our men discovered it in time and won the battle. This was unexpected,” one of the men said with a smile.
Everyone gave meaningful looks to the latter.
They knew that the commander who won the battle on Defense Planet No. 29 was under this person’s wing.
All of the attendees had a tacit understanding; no one would cause trouble there.
The recent battle was fought extremely well. They saw through the dark apparitions’ plan and reaped a massive achievement. No one could find any loose ends.
There were many factions within the military, but everyone shared a common enemy; they were ultimately united. That was the main reason the military had progressed thus far.
The imperial family would probably begin to worry if all the people in the military were on great terms.
After all, there would always be competition when interests were at stake. This was a constant.
Anyway, once they heard the officer’s words, someone said, “That’s right. Not everyone can see through the dark apparitions’ planning. In all my years in the force, I have never heard of anyone exposing enemy plans beforehand.”
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmDark apparitions were entirely different from humans, which made it impossible to infiltrate their ranks so they couldn’t find out their plans.
That was the reason why humans were always on the passive side.
However, they took the initiative this time. It was a groundbreaking progress.
“Oh right, the young lad called Wang Teng discovered the scheme!” the calm voice exclaimed in surprise. “He’s just a celestial warrior, but he has the ability to injure a universe stage expert. Interesting.”
Based on the wording, it was easy to tell that the speaker was highly interested in the young hero.
Wang Teng’s stellar performance on the battlefield had also been reported. All the generals knew about his outstanding battle records.
Intrigue was shown in everyone’s eyes. Even powerhouses like them were surprised.
What a genius!
They couldn’t have achieved this even when they were young.
“I seem to recall that he has some grudges with the Parkers, doesn’t he? They fought in the capital. Many people learned about this,” someone said with a smile.
Someone pondered out loud, “Wang Teng wasn’t so powerful back then. He could at most injure a heaven stage martial warrior, but he progressed quickly. Looks like he became much stronger during his time on Defense Planet No. 29.”
“Gasp… This is a talent like never seen in a million years!” someone chimed in.
“Hahaha, the Parkers must be anxious,” said another, gloating.
Everyone present had powerful statuses and abilities. No one feared the Parkers.
Many of them began to smile, looking forward to the potential show on the horizon…
“We have to protect him until he’s fully mature. He’s part of the military; we can’t let anything happen to a talent like him,” one of the attendees added.
