We sat in silence, overlooking the crowd of people. Finally | was in the ‘party’ mood; just then the music slowed
down, partners paired up, staring at each other with affectionate eyes.
“Would you like a dance with me?” Thane offered.
“Of course, | thought you would never ask. But | must warn you, | am not a very good dancer.”
He snickered. “But | am, so that should do” He said, holding my hands and leadingdown to the dancing floor.
“You look so beautiful,” he complements, his hands running down the silk dress. “I love it.”
“Thank you and you look dashing as always.”
Thane’s movements were slow and precise, matching the music playing in the background; his hand rested on
my waist and at the small of my back; it was just about the both of us. I lost track of tas we danced, we were
clearly enjoying each other's closeness, but then the music changed and it was tto switch partners Thane
passedto Axel as he took the waiting hands of a girl who had been lingering near in hopes of dancing with

Axel danced with me; the beat was a bit faster, but Axel was just as good a dancer.

The music went on, and soon | felt myself blissfully dancing along; | was getting better at this.
