Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough-Novel
Chapter 104: The Notebook of Lord KuberaChapter 104: The Notebook of Lord Kubera
"Phew… That was close!" Looking back at the area that he had fought the flaming mountain ape earlier, Xuan Hao felt himself shivering a bit at the thought of being surrounded and attacked by those demon beasts.
Even if they individually were weaker than the flaming mountain ape, all of them put together would be more than enough to injure him or at the very least force him to run away.
The only demon beast one could hunt down without worrying too much, was those in the Core Formation Realm… Hunting the Nascent Soul Realm demon beast in a place with other Nascent Soul Realm demon beasts nearby, was close to suicide…
"Maybe I should choose somewhere at the edges of the Burning Mountain Range to test out my strength the next time around… Whatever, at least I have an idea how strong I am now…" Sighing a bit to himself, Xuan Hao left the Burning Mountain Range and made his way back towards the Flying Sword Sect.
Him testing his strength had only taken a little over day with travel time considered as well.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtNow he could return back to the Flying Sword Sect and teach his disciples something new! But what he wanted to teach both of them would not be something like a qi or combat technique, but instead something more practical that might help them in the future.
…
Back at the Flying Sword Sect just after Xuan Hao had handed over the notebook, he had found at the city of Kubera to the Sect Master Feng Chen, who was currently reading through it trying to find out if there was anything useful in it.
"Interesting… Looks like I will have to hand it over to the Alchemy Hall and see if they can find out anything about the formulas and experiments noted down here… This!?" Stopping towards the end of the notebook, Feng Chen quickly put the notebook away and had a slightly worried look on his face.
"A religion with a Plague God… Looks like it is not simply a plague by the newly established demonic sect or the Azure Sky Kingdom… This would also explain how they could suddenly have people appear at all corners of the Heavenly Sky Kingdom and intercept the Nascent Soul Realm experts sent out to inspect the first infected villages…" Muttering this to himself, Feng Chen worriedly made his way out of his pavilion and entered the Alchemy Hall to hand of the notebook and hopefully get something useful out from it.
No matter what, dealing with a religion was not something that the current Flying Sword Sect could do, as it was simply way too strong… At most they could passively wait for the already established religions of the Sky Empire to deal with them… After all, splitting up the territory they used and allow others to take from the resources that they had would not go well with them.
The only thing that mattered at the moment was how fast the religions already established in the Sky Empire would take to react to the threat of a new religion trying to snake its way in…
The chances of the Church of the Plague God doing the same thing in other kingdoms under the Sky Empire would most likely also be the case and the chances of the already established religions being able to stop the faith of the Plague God in all of them was next to impossible…
"Hah… Looks like we are in for a difficult time in the coming years…" Sighing a bit to himself, Feng Chen finally made it to the entrance of the Alchemy Hall.
"Move those test vials over there! And you! Get the sect to send more Violet Sparkgrass over here immediately!" A loud voice could be heard coming from a strong looking middle-aged woman at the centre of the Alchemy Hall, as she kept calling out orders to the various alchemists and servants running back and forth in a chaotic, yet orderly manner.
"Wan Qiu, what is happening around here?" Walking his way over to the strong looking middle-aged woman, Feng Chen asked in a somewhat confused tone as he watched the people running all over the place moving things from one place to another.
"Ah, Sect Master! We recently got a new idea on a way to solve the plague and we are going to try and make it!" Bowing her head slightly upon seeing the Sect Master, Elder Wan Qiu reported the reason for the current chaotic situation at the Alchemy Hall.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"I understand… This is also the reason why I'm here today! Elder Xuan just came back with something that will most likely be useful in dealing with the plague!" Putting on a slightly more serious face, Feng Chen took out the notebook of Lord Kubera and handed it over to the strong looking middle-aged woman Wang Qiu.
"Hm? T-this is…" Opening up the notebook that Feng Chen handed over to her, Wan Qiu immediately got extremely interested the moment she saw the first few notes written down.
"W-where did you say Elder Xuan got this…? The city of Kubera? D-do you perhaps know if the city lord is still there?!" Putting down the notebook with a slightly unwilling expression, Wan Qiu turned towards Feng Chen as she forcefully started to question him with a slightly threatening tone of voice.
"… He is already gone from what Elder Xuan had told me, why are you so interested all of a sudden?" Trying his best to supress the annoyance he felt from Wan Qiu's forceful interrogation.
Feng Chen knew that no matter what he did, this woman was quite… Crazy when it came to anything Alchemy… Getting on her bad side was not a good thing, he still remembered the poor fate of Core Elder Wang Hu…
In the past he had interrupted one of her experiments and as a result, mysterious things started happening to him… From sudden embarrassing "accidents" at major events in the sect, to a shortage of certain pills of potions that he happened to need…
"I-if I'm not wrong, this Lord Kubera is at least an Artisan level Alchemist! Maybe even a Master level Alchemist!" Saying this, Wan Qiu's voice shivered slightly upon mentioning a Master Alchemist.
It had to be known that Master level Alchemist were the highest level of Alchemists present on the Ewaria Continent!
Even a single note casually written by a Master Alchemist was worth a fortune! Let alone a notebook filled with detailed experiments and formulas for different potions and pills!
To alchemists, this was a priceless treasure that could help them progress further and learn about the Realm of a Master Alchemist!
