"I am glad to see you safe and sound Elder Khal" as Khal was talking with Senior Lin, Elder Rene's voice appeared attracting the gaze of the two almost instantly.
"Elder... Khal?" Khal raised a brow and looked at Senior Lin with a questioning look as he didn't quite know what to think.
Elders in a Sect were usually those with great power and knowledge only slightly below the Sect Master's level and those that were a part of the Sect for a long time, for a few decades at least!
Of course, there were times where Core Disciples could request a trial from the Sect Master to become an Elder, but those were rather rare occasions as almost all the time Core Disciples can only become an Elder if they have collected enough Contribution Points to the Sect through Missions or other different means.
Usually, the numbers must be in the millions, so becoming an Elder from a Core Disciple was quite a long road to walk. And even if one succeeded to become an Elder, they will become only a Regular Elder, not a Peak Elder such as Elder Rene or Elder Shiu.
Hence, hearing that he was called Elder Khal only after a week, something that one can only obtain through several years of blood and sweat gave him hard work, Khal felt rather confused. Even if he saved the Moon Sect from complete destruction from King Zell and his men, from Khal's point of view it was not worth enough to make him become one of the Elders of this sect.
Senior Lin seemed to understand Khal's thoughts when he saw his puzzled look, thus quickly curved her lips upward, showing a surprisingly blooming and charming smile that was quite the rarity compared to her usually cold complexion, and said, "Don't look so surprised. You have finally become a Limit Breaker, meaning you are qualified to become a Regular Elder."
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"Yeah, I know that, but..."
"But you don't understand why we wish you to become one even though your age and time in the Sect?" Senior Lin asked calmly, which at Khal showed a nod in silence.
"Well, is it not clear enough?" Senior Lin asked and continued, "You not only have killed King Zell and several hundred of his powerful men all alone, but you have also shown such a great level of strength that no one has ever done before! Let alone the fact that you possess more than one Blessing, but you also have the potential that not even those heaven-defying geniuses have from other races! Hell, you even have the qualification to become the Master of this sect as I have said it before!"
Khal listened quietly at the words Senior Lin just said and couldn't help but feel that her reasoning was indeed correct and he undoubtedly had the qualification to become a Sect Elder if not the Sect Master himself.
"I see." Khal nodded as he accepted this fact and even felt slightly happy as this meant he can get more benefit in the future, but soon, his face turned serious and asked, "Sect Master, I-"
"Just call me Senior Lin." Senior Lin quickly corrected Khal and after crossing her arms before her chest, pushing her bosom slightly upward, she asked, "Anyways, what were you about to ask?"
Khal who was slightly distracted by the mountains that were hard not to notice, cleared his throat and said, "Then Senior Lin, I am curious how I can get to Planet Gia."
"Huh? Planet Gia? What are you planning to do there?" Senior Lin knitted her delicate brows together to show a deep frown, making her previous joyful face become all cold and serious once again.
[You plan to enter the Zero Realm already?]
Hearing the surprised voice of Nova in his head, Khal nodded slightly and thought, 'Yeah, I can't wait any longer."
[But you will just die! Entering the Zero Realm with your Cultivation Base is akin to jumping into a den filled with beasts several Stages above yours! You will die without the chance of knowing what has just killed you!]
'Maybe, maybe not. We won't know it until we try it.'
[You don't need to try it to know what you are about to do is akin to suicide, Khal! It is not that digital world where if you die you stay alive. If you die, it is game over for you and for me too! Think this over one more time, please...]
'There is nothing to think over, Nova. I have already thought about it and this is my final decision.' Khal stated with firm resolution and quickly said to Senior Lin, "I have a few things I need to take care of there, that's all."
Senior Lin raised a brow upon hearing Khal's answer and remained silent for a while to ponder.
"Planet Gia, huh? It shouldn't be a problem to get you there." Senior Lin muttered quietly and after raising her gaze at Khal, she asked, "How long will you be away?"
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"I don't know. It can be a week or even a month." Khal shrugged, showing he had no clue at all just how long will it take him to travel through the Zero Realm back and forth.
"Hmm..." Senior Lin touched her small chin gently as she fell into deep thoughts once again before she nodded scarcely and said, "Okay. Elder Rene will take you to Planet Gia and will wait there until you finish with your business there."
Khal seemed elated when he heard this and clasped his hands before his chest as he said, "Thank you very much, Sec- Senior Lin."
"Don't even mention it." Senior Lin showed a calm smile and after saying a few words to Elder Rene and ordering the rest of the Elders to find someone to clean the mess, she walked away.
"Do you have anything you need or wish to do before we go?" Elder Rene asked Khal once Senior Lin vanished, his silver eyes calmly fixed on Khal's figure.
Even now, he could hardly believe that the young boy in front of him was also an Elder even though he just joined the sect, not more than a week ago!
'The world is indeed unfair...' Elder Rene sighed bitterly in his heart and waited for Khal's answer.
To his surprise, however, Khal just shook his head and said, "No need to wait, we can leave right away."
"I see, then follow me."
"Please.." Khal nodded, and after giving one final glance at the mess around him which he just caused, he followed Elder Rene in silence.
