Chapter 755
Maja parked the car outside the hospital, then went around to open the door for Beck. They both walked into the
hospital together.
lan, sitting in the car, watched Maja and Beck go in, feeling worse than ever before as if his heart was about to stop
beating.
Tyler rushed to open the car door for him, pulling him out.
As they entered the hospital, he bellowed, “Doctor, check him out ‘ASAP!”
Beck and lan were in adjacent rooms; their wounds were being examined by the doctors.
lan was bleeding from his neck and had a scratch on his chest. It was clear from the hits lan took that Beck didn’t
hold back.
The doctor took immediate steps and stopped the bleeding, cleaned the wound, and bandaged his neck and chest.
Beck, on the other hand, was getting his hand bandaged. His injury wasn’t actually as severe as lan’s, but the cut
was so deep that they could almost see the bone.
Maja was frightened by the sight of these injuries. She was worried about any lasting damage to his hand.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtShe asked Beck, “Why did you guys fight?”
Beck, too, was puzzled. Why would he fight with lan?
Selena had humiliated Maja, and lan never really cared about her.
But lan had started a fight because of some insignificant words he exchanged with Samuel.
He said coldly, “He’s nuts.”
The Sanders family and the Raymond family had no connection and were of equal status. The news of their fight
shocked high society.
Firstly, lan. No one had ever heard of him fighting with anyone, especially in public.
Then there was Beck, who seemed good–tempered, but had a surprisingly intense fight with lan.
Those who got to see the fight described it in detail as if they had a deep grudge.
Soon, high society started buzzing.
“They fought over Penny. It all started when Samuel and Beck discussed Penny, and then lan attacked Beck.”
“Right, I was there. He asked Beck if he had been with Penny, Beck didn’t answer, and they started fighting.”
“What’s so special about Penny that these two men would fight over her?”
“What charm does Penny have that lan would fight someone because of her? He never acted this way when he was
with Carlene.”
Everyone was curious about what was so special about Penny, and they all wanted to find out.
Maja had no clue that she was the topic of discussion. She saw Beck undress, revealing injuries on his chest and
stomach. He looked like a mess.
The doctor looked and said that he had internal injuries and needed to take a rest.
Beck only then gently rubbed his stomach, “That explains the pain.”
Seeing all this, Maja couldn’t hold back anymore. She went to the next room
In the next room, lan’s wounds were bandaged, and he had put on his shirt.
When he saw Maja, his eyes lit up.
But Maja asked coldly,
“Mr. Raymond, why did you fight so seriously this time?”
“I hit him, and you’re the one hurt?”
His tone was icy, and his gaze was locked on her eyes.
Her eyes were full of shock, mixed with deep hatred.
He looked away, unable to meet her gaze.

She did not ask about his injuries or where he was hurt.
She turned to leave, leaving one last sentence, “If you want to fight, don’t use me as an excuse.”
In her view, the conflict between lan and Beck was because he simply didn’t like Beck, not really because he liked
her.
She thought she was just an excuse for their conflict.
“Beck is badly hurt, I’ll tell Holden.”
The implication was that she was going to seek justice for Beck from Holden.
Maja had just turned around when a pillow flew past her.
But it didn’t hit her, instead, it hit the door behind her.
She turned in surprise to see lan, who just gave a cold laugh. He seemed indifferent, yet somehow wronged.
“Can’t you see? I’m hurt too, can’t you see that? All you see is Beck!”
He couldn’t hold back anymore and violently ripped off the bandage on his neck to reveal it to her,
“You think he’s the good guy. This cut nearly slit my throat.”
The wound that had just stopped bleeding started to bleed again because of his rough action.
Seeing this, Maja was shaking with anger, “You deserved that! You started it, didn’t you?!”
The room fell into silence after her words.
