Chapter 287 Chapter 39: The Human Guild
Zell woke up and helped Elizabeth to cleanse her body, allowing her to enjoy a morning feed before they headed back to the camp, looking at the strange gaze from the elves and other vampires who looked at the pair holding hands with dazzling eyes.
Chris and Esmera looked at the pair, a slight blush on Esmera's face as their noise was extremely loud and echoed across the ridge into the village in the night while Chris gave Zell a thumbs up and smile.
"Yo, brother. It seems you had a great night!"
Zell just smirked and looked at Esmera for a moment before responding, "You too, brother—what a sly fox with a cute elf wife."
"Oh? Should I tell your little Lusia about that?" Elizabeth teased Zell playfully.
Esmera blushed even more while Chris just laughed loudly, patting Zell's shoulder as he responded, "Don't worry. I won't do anything of the sort. But man, we really have come so far from being the gaming mortals we were. This world is amazing!"
"Yeah," Zell nodded his head in agreement and then added, "But now the problem is, what do we do next? Are we going to try negotiating with the human camp, even after the things they did to those women?"
Chris looked conflicted and nodded, "The elven council doesn't want too much bloodshed... I mean, we know you are the reason we are able to exist peacefully, but..."
"Don't worry, Chris, I don't intend to force you all to follow me, but know once it reaches a certain point, Q, I won't be able to help you if we stray too far apart."
"Ah... no worries, I will try to keep that from happening."
The two clasped hands while Zell muttered, "Even if things reach a horrible end, you and your family are welcome in my territory anytime, brother."
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtChris smiled and thanked Zell gratefully.
Afterwards, the group made their way back to the camp, where they discussed matters and planned to negotiate with the humans.
Elizabeth left Zell and returned to her tent, where she would stay, while Zell sat beside Esmera and Chris, waiting for the time to negotiate with the humans.
"We decided to come because Yanfra knew you would do something reckless..." A sound of the cute and feisty Yinfra sounded as she entered the tent with both of them sitting beside Zell closely, the redhead biting his neck and taking several sniffs as if to see if someone touched her territory.
"You finally fucked the vampire... I see." She added as she licked her lips and pressed her chest against Zell's arm while Esmera just looked at her with a red gaze.
The way Zell's women were so open with their affection had caused her to become more confident with Chris and led to their relationship improving, but she felt so shocked, like coming to a new world each time.
She also wanted to become like them one day and act without hesitation, but she didn't know how.
Chris just chuckled awkwardly as he watched his beautiful wife and realised it was thanks to the women around Zell, causing Esmera to look at him curiously, wondering how she could be more adventurous.
However, suddenly, she felt a presence behind her and turned around quickly to see Yanfra standing there with her usual expressionless face.
"Zell, there is danger in the future..." Her blue hair fluttered as she vanished and appeared on his lap, both arms around his neck as their lips pressed together, tongues intertwining before she parted from him, whispering, "Be careful."
Yanfra vanished again right after as Chris coughed awkwardly, Esmera blushing brightly as she saw such an intimate scene and wondered whether she could behave like them.
Zell just sighed as he thought of Yanfra's words, thinking of how troublesome life seemed to be for him, especially when he had just found some peace.
She then took the seat beside him quietly, looking around and closing her tired eyes, resting on Zell's shoulder... but he could feel her shuddering as if in pain.
He knew she had used quite a bit of her power recently and needed some rest... but this was different; he had almost forgotten...
Her true body is still in prison... likely being tortured but acting fine to stop him from worrying.
"S-Sorry to bother you, sir!" A young elf came inside before speaking to Esmera in whispers.
Soon enough, a scout came into the tent, informing them that the humans had agreed to meet and talk. Zell stood up, and Chris followed with Esmera as the trio walked towards the area where the meeting would be held.
"So, what do you plan to do, brother? Do you think negotiations will work?" Chris asked curiously as he stared at Zell with concern.
Esmera just stayed silent, knowing that this matter concerned many lives and feeling nervous about everything.
"I hope so, brother. I hope so..."
But I know that it will likely never work... they are for sure going to do something or try something. The champions probably know of my presence already...
Zell muttered softly as they left the tent, forming a small group to head to the meeting place that was roughly halfway between both territories.
As they walked forward, Zell noticed several elves staring at him with curious gazes as if to confirm their suspicions... but they looked at him respectfully and bowed.
Some even muttered, 'Thank you...' making Zell wonder why they were thanking him until he heard Chris chuckle and explain, "You are a legend amongst our people now, brother! You defeated the demons plaguing us singlehandedly and saved countless elves, including Esmera here... plus, you are dating our sister tribe, Queen!"
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmEsmera just blushed at Chris' teasing tone and nudged him angrily, Zell laughing lightly as they arrived near a small hill with humans already present.
"Ahh, shit. I can smell the stench already," Zell muttered softly as he sensed the champions, seeing a few familiar faces with evil grins.
Chris just frowned and looked at Esmera, nodding at her to let her know to remain cautious and prepare for anything.
They soon reached the humans, where Zell stared at the familiar face of the Champion who seemed to lead this group, noticing the mocking smirk on his face.
"Greetings, gentlemen! We are here today to discuss the issues surrounding our tribes, hoping to find a peaceful solution—" Chris began to speak calmly while Esmera stood beside him.
However, the Champion just interrupted Chris rudely and spoke arrogantly, "Peaceful solution? Why should we negotiate with savages? How dare you ask to meet when you stole our land?!"
Zell just sighed and closed his eyes, knowing that things would escalate and sensing Yanfra's presence nearby.
Esmera clenched her fists and glared at the Champion hatefully, Chris trying to remain calm and not show anger as he responded politely, "Our tribe has lived here since the world fused. Your tribe only moved in recently and stole our home—"
Suddenly, the Champion raised his hand, interrupting Chris again as he shouted, "Silence! You fucking savage, how dare you speak to me like that?! I am a Champion! You are nothing but trash compared to me!"
Looking at the grimace on his friend's face and the number of enemies on the opposite side, Zell didn't care—cracking his neck before his body vanished, smashed the Champion in the back of the head and stomped down on his face, so he was kneeling in front of Chris, as the humans all drew their blades.
Zell just scoffed. He could kill them all easily, but he didn't want to cause unnecessary bloodshed... yet, as he looked at the Champion kneeling in front of Chris, he grinned.
"Let me teach you a lesson about respect, trash. Speak nicely to my brother, or I will break every bone in your body," Zell spoke coldly, his pressure causing everyone to freeze, including Esmera and Chris, who were shocked by Zell's actions.
Chris just gulped nervously and whispered, "Brother, don't go too far... please..."
Esmera remained frozen in place, fear coursing through her veins as she stared at Zell with sparkling eyes, realising that he was always protecting them silently, like a guardian angel.
"Haa... Chris, these damn champions are nothing more than cock sleeves for the arrogant pricks who caused this mess. Don't worry, I got this."
