948 Red Fountain
The bandits refused to believe what they saw, yet the glare from their boss remained true. Tens of tents were destroyed as their boss plunged into them like one giant bullet.
“You’re dead!” shouted one of the bandits near Lyon.
Lyon smirked as he watched the incoming assault from the bandits. His feet moved and left an afterimage before the bandits were sent flying just like how their boss was. Wave after wave he sent them with his kicks before he held his leg up as not a single bandit approached him anymore. He slowly put his foot down. “What’s wrong? Is that the best of your men?”
“Y...You!” the bandits could only glare under their perspiration.
Gamael swept the blood out of his lips as he glared at Lyon. He knew the morale of his lackeys significantly dropped after they saw what just happened. “Who the fuck are you?!”
Lyon who was unperturbed even by the sheer outnumbering they did on him, shrugged. “My name is Lyon.”
Gamael’s fury turned into confusion as his brows furrowed. He didn’t recall anyone by the name that he just spouted, more so with the capabilities that defied the norm.
Gamael raised his chin, “You have no idea what you stick your nose into.”
“Pretty sure, I do, you guys are the Burgeon Swan,” said Lyon.
.....
“Heh, if you know who we are, then this will make things simpler,” said Gamael. “Leave now, before you incite the wrath of the Burgeon Swan.”
Lyon raised one of his brows, “This is the first time I’ve heard a group of bandits telling someone to leave— Are you sure that you all are bandits?”
“We show lenient when we can,” said Gamael with a scowl.
“Hahaha,” Lyon laughed, “the word ‘lenient’ and bandits never go hand in hand.”
( He is just a True God Cultivator, but why can’t I keep up with his movements? ) Gamael frowned. “Are you masking your cultivation level?”
“That’s for me to know, and for you to find out,” Lyon snorted.
“Why do you seek to oppose us?” asked Gamael.
“Because you’re a bandit and a bad guy?” Lyon unsurely answered.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtGamael frowned, “That’s it? And you’re here alone to oppose all of us? — Bah! You expect me to believe that naive motive? After you ogled your eyes out at my wealth?!”
“You call that wealth?” Lyon raised his brows. “Please, I know I’ve seen better.”
Gamale glared at him but before any word or profanities zipped through the air, a familiar voice called from the sides.
“Lyon, the new teacher, I presume?”
Lyon raised his brows seemingly uninterested in the new figure in his field of view. “And who are you?”
“Riki,” Gamael frowned, “You know him?”
“I don’t, Boss Gamael, but the three brats in the cell did,” said Riki.
“That’s him!” said one of the guards that guarded Guh City.
“Huh?” Lyon looked at the two familiar figures, “Didn’t I bribe you?”
“Huh? Hahahaha!” the two bandits laughed, “You’re literally asking that right now? Are you blind in your situation, dear teacher?”
“Teacher?” Gamael raised his brows.
Riki nodded, “Apparently, this man is a new teacher at Nirvana School.”
The bandits took a deep gasp as they shed a different light from their glance.
“You’re a teacher from Nirvana School?” Gamael loosened his shoulders as he straightened his back. He smirked, “Looks like there is a miscommunication here between you and me.”
“Miscommunication?” Lyon raised one of his brows.
“I don’t know if you know this, but the Burgeon Swan and Nirvana School have a bit of history together, a mutual one,” Gamael smirked.
“A mutual one?” Lyon frowned. “Don’t tell me that Nirvana School is in cahoots with the Burgeon Swan.”
“Not quite,” Gamael laughed as he slowly approached Lyon but still kept a few steps distance. “Looks like you’re really new, fresh like a fish raised in a pond that just made its way toward the sea— I’ll tell you what, I will give you an offer.”
“Again?” Lyon raised his brows, “I thought I was dealing with bandits here, not a merchant— though, bandits came in all sorts of form and sizes.”
“Haha, you jest,” said Gamael. “Return whence you came and not speak a word about this hideout, I will even toss some tokens for you to buy a souvenir.”
Lyon rolled his eyes, “C’mon, that’s the best offer you got?”
“Either that or death,” said Gamael.
Lyon smirked, “You’re not afraid of offending the Nirvana School?”
“Nirvana School is just a playground to amuse the young masters in Sixth Heaven,” said Gamael. “And there is one class without a teacher, something that the Burgeon Swan know about, I’m sure that you’re filling that position.”
“So you knew,” Lyon grins.
“Why are you smiling?” Gamael smirked, “This is a good offer.”
“Teacher!”
Lyon raised his brows before he saw Reinhard and the others being escorted to his view. He furrowed as he saw them being forced to stand on their knees, even Lenu was there.
“Hahaha,” Gamael laughed, “I’ve heard that one of you even left from the surprise assault with nasty impairment.”
All three students glared menacingly at Gamael.
Gamael smiled and took a deep breath as he savored their vulnerability and their thirst for vengeance. He opened his eyes and saw Lyon. He spread his arms, “What about it teacher? A good deal right? Left the three students, and we can even fake your death.”
“You can fake my death?” Lyon asked.
“T-Teacher...!” Reinhard opened his eyes wide.
“We’re professionals,” Gamael laughed.
“Is that so? That guy over there seems to want nothing but to rip me apart,” said Lyon as he pointed to Riki with a glance.
“Huh?” Gamael averted his glance.
“It is true,” said Riki, “I still want to rip you apart, that is because you have fooled me, all you four did— Which begs the important question.”
“Oh?” Lyon raised his brows.
“You have discovered our hideout, yet you came alone. If you can hide under my nose, I doubt that your appearance now is a flux on your end.”
“Hmm,” Gamael contemplated before nodding, “Good one Riki— Teacher, what sort of trickery are you playing here? It won’t end well for you to antagonize the Burgeon Swan.”
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmLyon smirked, “Are you interested in a counteroffer, Gamael?”
Both Riki and Gamale were astounded by his words but the latter soon burst into laughter and was followed by all the lackeys.
Gamael said, “Are you not even aware right now? You have no way to escape, not even Returning Jade Stone can save you.”
Lyon snorted whilst keeping his smirk, “Looks like you know the former teacher that betrayed my students. Tell me where he is, and I will make your death less miserable.”
The camp entered an awkward silence before the whole hideout burst out laughing.
Reinhard whispered, “What is he doing...?”
“Shh,” said Rayus.
“He got a plan,” muttered Noah. “Besides, someone is missing.” ʀᴇᴀᴅ ʟᴀᴛᴇsᴛ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀᴛ ɴovelFɪre.net
“What the hell are you guys talking about?!” whispered Lenu.
“Man!” Gamael wept the tears off of his eye as he held his stomach, “You should join us instead! You’re the jester of jester!”
Riki frowned as he inexplicitly raised his awareness of his surroundings. ( Weird, I can’t sense anyone coming. What is he scheming? ).
“Looks like I have to uproot the Burgeon Swan, after all,” Lyon sighed.
“Hehehe,” Gamael’s laugh slowly died out before his eyes gleamed as he looked at Lyon. “If you choose death, then so be it, men!”
All of his lackeys draw out their weapons. The presence was suffocating even for the ones witnessing the event. However, to the man with bright brown eyes, his shoulders were never stiffened.
“Any last words before you shrieked like a little girl?” Gamael said.
“You choose poorly,” Lyon smirked before he showed his hand. The back of his hand courted all of their attention. The middle finger crashed against the thumb before it snapped. The snap was soft but managed to deafen the entire plane.
Rayus’s pupils rapidly shrunk as his goosebumps rose like its war. “She is coming..!”
Nobody really saw where slash came but Gamael saw his subordinates and lackeys alike had their heads flying. His entire body tremored in horror before their headless body churned out blood like a fountain in a festival.
“What...” Gamael muttered before he heard a thud. A head was rolling in front of him. ( Riki?! ).
“What the fuck...” Lenu muttered as he saw Lyon casually approach the only bandit alive with his steps being accompanied by thuds of headless bodies.
Lyon’s eyes returned back to black but his demeanor didn’t change. He crossed his arms right in front of Gamael’s face before smirking. Gamael’s knees weakened then fell on the ground with his hands limped. One single snap ended the whole camp of the Burgeon Swan hideout. An outcome that nobody could ever predict, except the three students who knew the beautiful woman that was standing right beside their new teacher.
