CHAPTER 405
Liu Xueyi's eyes remained glued to the screen as though if he removed them something terrible would happen.
The news Zheng Ying spilt out of her lips left him shocked but mostly a part of him was scared.
He clenched the phone in his hand while trying to settle his breathing.
"Liu Xueyi, are you there or have you fainted?" There was still no response from him. "Fine then, I would take your silence as your permission to speak to the Lin Family."
"Stop."

Andromeda waited outside by the car park for Liu Xueyi but did not see any sign of his coming. It wasn't until she caught sight of his P.A. closing in on her that there was the bad feeling she had prior to returning.
"He's not coming, is he?" Andromeda questioned, holding her fist close to her chest.

She did not allow him to finish his words when she cut in, "I see. Thanks."
Those were the last words she uttered and turned around, heading for her own car. It was useless hoping for anything to change.
She knew deep down that he was going to keep her in the dark and go call or see Zheng Ying. Andromeda got into her car, fixed her seat belt and started the car.
She gritted, holding back the tears that threatened to spill from their socket. "Damn you, Xueyi. You lied to me."
Channelling her rage elsewhere, she drove out of the company, heading anywhere that was not home or where he could reach her.
By the time it was sunset, Andromeda found out she had driven for two hours straight, going out to the outskirt of the city till she came to a clear road with only trees in sight and stopped.
Her thoughts were jumbled up. She did not wish to see him and when she checked her phone there was no message or calls from him.
"Stupid jerk!" she cursed out loud and screamed her lungs out.
She was tired of their misunderstanding. She wanted to always be there for him and be supportive but what did she get?
"Urrrghhh!"
She screamed once more, realizing the fashion show was barely days away and her mind was a complete mess of things.
"What more can I do? Should I call Xu Fang or am I really all alone with no one in this world?" Her voice broke, the tears spilling out now that she actually understood her pain.
She wished she had someone to turn to. She lacked female friends except for Liu Xiao Xin, Jian Xiaofei and Peng Xiaoli.
Given the situation now, she did not want them to know. And when she searched deep for that one person she could speak to, her mind went straight to her mother.
All the pains of the past five years came rolling back in full force. Her mother had been at her prime. She was full of life but to die suddenly…
'Mother… Why did you have to go so soon? I thought I was happy, that I had found happiness, turns out everyone wants to snatch it away. I love him,' she lamented inwardly, wishing her mother's presence was there.
Stepping out of the car, Andromeda set her gaze on the trees ahead and for the first time that day, she tried not to think. Not to do anything too rash and just let nature whisper its words to her hearing.

Rushing to his apartment, Liu Xueyi found out Andromeda had not come home and headed straight for her apartment. From what his P.A. had told him, he knew she was furious and went there straight hoping to find her there.
Her door was locked, and even though he had the key and got in, he found nothing, no trace of her ever entering there that afternoon.
At this point, Liu Xueyi was at a loss for what to do and where to go to in finding her.
She usually did not visit places so much. Only one place brought her joy long enough to clear her head.
'The racing centre.'

He made calls to find her, asking Rong Bolin for his help in checking security footage to find her anywhere.
So many thoughts ran through his mind. She did not leave, did she? Would she really leave him out of a misunderstanding?
He knew he said he would call; he had expected that once he heard Zheng Ying speak, he would rush to meet her and apologize for the delay. Turns out she took everything badly.
Lifting his head to the sky, Liu Xueyi raked his fingers through his hair and let out a huff as he dropped his hand lazily by his side.
He had been driving and running to various places to check for her but no matter where he went, there was no sign of her.
What was more was the crazy news he just heard and the sickening probability of… No, it wasn't a probability anymore. It was the truth – the bitter truth that could ruin his life for good.
"Andy…" Liu Xueyi muttered and dialled her number. His feet paced beside his car close to the tennis court.
She usually did not play the game, but he hoped she would visit somewhere, anywhere he could find her.
"Remind me to put an app tracker on her phone when I see her. I…" He clenched his jaw tight. The sheer thought of losing her was making his heart clench and his breathing hard.
Now more than ever he wished he could evade her till he sorted out the problems. He was too ashamed to face her but loved her too much to want to lose her.
He wasn't one to share his worries with those he loved so as not to bother them but with Andromeda, he wished to be better.
"What do I do?" Liu Xueyi lamented loudly.
