Chapter 92

When Sylvia woke up, everything before her eyes was still pitch dark. But gradually, dots of light appeared,

followed by blurred figures. That's when Freya showed up.

By now, Sylvia could see clearly. She was just teasing Freya a moment ago, payback for spiking her milk.

Sylvia put down her finger and took a bite of a bagel. "You all go on, I'm fine now."

"But Freya..." Billie was worried, silently pointing towards the door.

"We're in a hospital. She wouldn't dare do anything."

"Okay then."

The three of them tidied up a bit and left the hospital room.

As soon as they left, Freya returned, her expression now calm, though a sinister smile played on her lips.

Sylvia pretended not to notice.

"Sylvia, the weather's so nice outside. How about | help you go for a walk? It might help you relax, and who

knows, you might recover faster."

Freya walked over to the bed and, without waiting for a response, lifted Sylvia's blanket. Ignoring her blindness

entirely, she began dragging Sylvia out of bed. Sylvia didn't resist, letting her lead the way out of the room.

"Freya, slow down. | can't see."

"Don't worry, I've got you."

Freya, convinced Sylvia was truly blind, didn't bother hiding the mocking smirk on her face.

Sylvia, however, instantly sensed that Freya was up to no good.

In a blink, Freya led her into the hospital's garden. Eventually, they reached a small pond.

Freya stopped, suddenly letting go of Sylvia's hand.

"Sylvia, | forgot to grab you a jacket. Wait here, I'll go get one."

"Freya, | can't see. I..."

"Don't worry, I'll be quick."

Freya's voice trailed off ominously as she walked away.

Sylvia stood by the pond, looking uneasy.

The early morning garden was deserted, a chilly breeze sweeping through the air.

Sylvia hugged herself, shivering slightly, looking particularly

vulnerable by the pond. Then, al

shadow quietly approached from behind.

Sylvia smirked; the fox had finally shown its tail.

Just as the shadow's hand lifted to push her, Sylvia moved to sidestep.

But someone acted faster, pulling her into a strong chest. The arms wrapped tightly around her, almost pressing

into her back.

Before Sylvia could react to the pain, a splash cfrom behind.

"Help...help me!" Freya was floundering in the water.

However, Sylvia was too shocked to pay her any attention, staring at the man before her - Rupert!

What was he doing here?

A few seconds later, she remembered she was supposed to be blind. Quickly lowering her gaze, she pretended to

struggle to save Freya. But she was pulled back.

"Can't you stay out of trouble when you're blind?"

Sylvia's heart skipped a beat, puzzled by Rupert's sudden anger.

Then Freya saw Rupert and immediately cried out, "Mr. Rupert, save me..."

Rupert glanced at Orson.

Orson jumped in effortlessly, pulling Freya out of the pond with ease.

Freya collapsed onto the grass, drenched and trembling in the cool breeze.
