Chapter 1086 The Experience of Falling in Love
Bert suddenly spoke up, "Next weekend, I plan to take Lucas to Quartz City to enjoy the sea scenery. If you have
time, get ready."
Alivia calculated the time and said, "I can do it next weekend. I don't have classes on Friday."
Seeing that she agreed, Bert felt a little relieved and his voice became much softer, "I'll pick you up at school on
Friday."
Although it was a perfectly normal sentence, it made Alivia feel a bit awkward. She wasn't someone who easily got
shy but in front of this man...
Lost in thought, she suddenly spotted a familiar figure outside the car window. It was Henry!
Suddenly, Henry turned his head and looked at the car. He couldn't see people inside the car through the car
windows because of the automotive film, but maybe he would go around to the windshield later. There was no

It was easy for people to misunderstand being in a luxury car like Bert's.
Startled, Alivia's heart nearly stopped for a moment. Acting on instinct, the next second, she quickly bent over,
ending up lying sideways between the two front seats. She found herself face-to-face with Bert's legs, which was
quite embarrassing.
Clearly, Bert was taken aback by her sudden movement. He was about to lift her up, but before he could do so,
Alivia's voice, now lowered, reached his ears, "No, no, no, please don't. My brother is out there. If he sees me like
this, I'm dead!"
His hand paused, and he looked outside through the tinted windows. Indeed, there stood a tall and thin, fair-skinned
young boy.
Was it her younger brother?
As he thought, Bert subconsciously moved his fingers, and the rough pads touched the girl's fair neck. Feeling the
smooth skin under his fingertips, he couldn't help but find it amusing.
"Is he gone?" Alivia asked hurriedly, but she didn't dare to get up.
Looking at Henry, who was walking to the other side with his mobile phone, Bert lied calmly, "No."
Alivia was extremely nervous, feeling the big hand messing with her neck. She wanted to say something but dared
not, afraid that Bert would leave her in this position. She blushed and endured the unusual sensation.
After a while, her phone in her pocket buzzed. She took it out with some difficulty and glanced at it. It was a call
from Henry.
Clearing her throat, she answered, trying to make her voice sound less strange, "Henry?"
"Alivia, where are you? Weren't you going to the convenience store? It's been so long, and Mom's waiting for you to
have dinner." Henry's urging voice rang through the speaker.
Alivia forced a smile and said, "Oh, I'm done shopping. I'll be right up. Don't wait for me. I'll be there in a few
minutes."

secretly?"
Henry raised his voice and turned the phone to the loudest volume. Every word he said was heard by Bert, who
suddenly tightened his grip on her neck.
Alivia's heart skipped a beat, and her heart was about to jump out of her throat. She could only pretend to be calm
and said, "Who am I meeting? It's only been less than ten minutes. OK, let's end here. I'll leave after paying the bill."
"Oh, then I'll wait for you at home."
After ending the call in a hurry, Alivia's hand holding the phone was sweaty. Just as she relaxed a bit, she heard a
male voice above her, "Alivia, have you had a boyfriend before?"
This sudden question left Alivia surprised. Stammering, she replied, "I've had one."
"Oh?" Bert clearly didn't believe it, raising his big hand and patting her head not too lightly nor too heavily, "So, is
that why you tried to hide when you came out to meet me?"
Alivia was speechless and felt cornered, unable to find the words to respond.
Bert couldn't see her expression, but he could sense her displeasure even from the back of her head. He seemed to
enjoy it, "Is that the extent of your dating experience?"
