Chapter 1315 I Had a Nightmare
The next second, Evelyn's answer confirmed her conjecture. "It's okay, Sadie. Go back to your room and have a
rest."
Sadie noticed that something was wrong and immediately nodded. "Okay, okay. I'll go back and rest first. Call me if
you need anything."
"Okay."
After a short conversation, Sadie returned to her room. The living room fell silent again, and a man bent down to
change his shoes as if he hadn't heard this conversation.
Evelyn followed him into the bedroom. When she saw him take the clothes to the bathroom, she couldn't help

no need to take a shower."
"I just came back from the hospital. Let me take a shower." The light above his head fell on his face. His deep eye
sockets were slightly closed, casting a shadow on his face. "Don't worry, I'll be fine."
After that, he even lowered his head and kissed her gently, as if he was afraid that she would be worried.
Evelyn was afraid that he would do something inside, but when she saw him calmly walk in and close the door, she
breathed a sigh of relief.
She should also let herself relax. Otherwise, this tense atmosphere would only make it more difficult for him to get
out of that mood.
Huston had always showered very quickly and usually finished within ten minutes. However, this time, he stayed
inside for almost half an hour without coming out.
Evelyn knew that he was adjusting his mood and wanted to stay alone, so she didn't urge him. She just looked up at
the reflection in the frosted glass from time to time to ensure that he was fine.
The clock on the wall slowly moved to 4:30 a.m. She didn't feel sleepy at all and didn't doze off all the way.
Suddenly, someone knocked on the bedroom door.
She thought it was Sadie, but when she opened the door, she saw Lucas standing outside.
She was a little surprised. "Lucas, why aren't you asleep yet?"
Lucas rubbed his eyes and said pitifully, "Mom, I had a nightmare. I couldn't fall asleep when I woke up."
Evelyn carried Lucas into the house lovingly. When she saw that he was still holding onto her doll tightly, she
softened. "What nightmare did you have? Tell me?"

"In my dream, someone took Mom and Dad away and took you into the forest. I was alone outside. No one paid
attention to me and didn't know me." As he spoke, he seemed to recall the terrible scene again and threw himself
into Evelyn's arms. "Mom, I'm afraid..."
Evelyn caressed his furry head and comforted him gently, "Good boy, Lucas. Dreams are the opposite of reality. No
one will take Mom and Dad away."
Lucas asked in a muffled voice, "Really?"
Evelyn said with absolute certainty, "Yes."
"That's good!" Lucas hugged her waist tightly and was extremely dependent on her. "I want to be with Mom and
Dad forever!"
After that, Lucas seemed to have thought of something and was finally willing to lift his head from her arms. "By the
way, Mom, where's Great Grandfather? How long will he stay in the hospital?"
Tonight, she received a sudden call from the hospital. She left in a hurry and didn't have time to talk to the child.
Now that she was suddenly asked, Evelyn didn't know how to answer.
