Chapter 226: Jessie

Rodsley Street, Nobles' District.

It was around 2.A.M.

In the mansion terrace, a whirly blonde-haired girl, who appeared to be around 18-years-old, stood at the edge and stared at the mansion garden with unfocused scarlet eyes. She wore a long black nightgown, two unique earrings, and held a black-covered book in her hand.

She was none other than Jessie!

Unlike before, she had grown into an ice beauty and had a cold aura around her.

Her eyes wandered around the garden for a while and soon moved towards the three scarlet moons that hung up in the northern sky.

Just as her gaze fixed on those moons, an uncontrollable thirst for blood appeared in her mind.

'Damn it, it's acting again.' She bit her lips and sighed deeply, causing her bulging chest to bounce a little.

She then hurriedly averted her gaze and felt vexed inside.

After becoming a Rank-2 [Blood Sucker] Class Mystic, she completely refrained from hurting others and remained neutral.

Moreover, the earrings she received from her Teacher truly helped her control the uncontrollable thirst for blood.

'But how long are we going to delay our advancement?' A cold voice echoed in her head.

It was her second consciousness!

Unlike her, her second consciousness was a cold-hearted one.

'Humph, don't listen to her words. Although our advancement couldn't be delayed, walking on the dark path is not the only option.' Another voice echoed in her head, which contains a trace of calmness.

It was her third consciousness!

'But why not killing wild animals to vent our thirst?' Her second consciousness didn't agree to the third's words and retorted.

Meanwhile, Jessie wore an annoying expression on her face, then shook her head and said in her mind.

'I already choose to sacrifice my soft self, so killing is not my biggest concern. Actually, I'm planning on creating a secret organization to do all kinds of shady works. Our job is to hide in the shadows and eliminate all kinds of future threats.'

'Organization? An assassin organization? But all the assassin class kids are under Titus's control, though.' Her second consciousness said in a solemn tone.

'No, we can't rely on those kids. To do these kinds of dirty works, we need to subjugate the criminals. So I'm planning on using [Blood Curse] skill from now on.' Her scarlet eyes shone in a firm resolution.

'Y-You are planning to walk in the dark path?' Her third consciousness stuttered.

'Without darkness, there is no light. And, I'm not the one who would do these kinds of works. Moreover, I heard from my Teacher that letting my second consciousness to the dirty work will make me less guilty.' She responded with a smile.

Meanwhile, the second consciousness went silent for a whole three seconds and asked in a nervous tone.

'You are planning to use me to do the dirty works, aren't you?'

'Among three of us, you are the one with cold-heart. This job really suits you.' Jessie couldn't help but smile as she said those words.

Just as her second consciousness was about to retort, Jessie abruptly turned her head towards the garden and squinted her eyes.

At that moment, a crimson humanoid figure appeared, threw a human in the grassy yard, and soon disappeared from there!

"What the hell was that?" Jessie couldn't hide her shock and swiftly touched her silver bracelet in her right hand while storing her book in the space ring.

The next instant, two illusionary wings appeared behind her back and spread outwards.

The bracelet was one of the uncommon artifacts which she brought using her savings.

Using her thoughts, she flapped the illusionary wings and jumped forward from the terrace.

Like an eagle, she flew across the front yard garden in a circle and soon appeared near the ground.

Just when she was about to crash, she flapped the illusionary wings to slow down the momentum and landed casually.

Then, she dismissed her wings, walked towards the fallen human with quick steps, and arrived near it.

Soon, she saw a black sheath-dressed human and became surprised.

'A woman?'

She hurriedly squatted down, flipped her body, and soon froze as she saw the woman's face.

"Destiny Lady?" She blurted out in surprise.

At that moment, the nearby silver-armored guards and even a few servants from the mansion building ran in her direction and already started making a commotion.

Jessie checked Natalia's pulse without minding their shouts and soon breathed out a sigh of relief as she noticed that the Destiny Lady was still alive.

"Bring her inside, lass." An old man's shout echoed from the entrance, causing her to turn around subconsciously.

She soon saw her Teacher, Oswald, at the entrance door of the mansion building and nodded her head.

Then, she picked her up with both hands and started walking towards the three-storied building.

As she arrived near the porch, a black-haired teenage girl appeared beside Oswald with a half-sleepy face and stared at Jessie in confusion.

Her long hairs were untied and almost covered her back in a wavy manner. Her face appeared pale white, and she wore a white pleated bodice nightdress.

"Who is this?" A pleasant voice came out from her mouth as she saw the blood-stained sheath dress.

"It's Destiny Lady. A while ago, a strange humanoid fire suddenly appeared in the garden and dropped her there." Jessie said in a grave tone.

A flash of surprise appeared on Rhea's face and soon turned into a serious one.

With quiet footsteps, she walked past Oswald, appeared near Jessie, and helped her carry the Destiny Lady.

Meanwhile, Oswald wore a confused look for a second and soon grumbled.

"I need to teach that brat about how to treat a woman. Even if he didn't want to waste his time, at least, he should have given the unconscious lady to the guards."

Upon hearing his words, Jessie's eyes widened for a second, and soon she asked.

"T-That crimson human is your grandson?"

Meanwhile, Oswald sighed with a nod, turned around, and started walking as he spoke.

"Bring her in. It seems she drained her mental energy and entered into a coma stage." He suddenly paused for a moment as he saw another woman walking towards their direction from the left side dining hall.

She had black hair, deep-blue eyes, and appeared around 30 years old. Her body appeared a little round, and she wore a regular nightgown.

Oswald then gestured for her to come and spoke.

"Ashley, take good care of her. She is my guest."

On the other hand, Ashley hurriedly ran near them, took Natalia from Jessie's hand, and started walking towards the right-side corridor.

Meanwhile, Rhea got startled for a moment and soon ran after Ashley while shouting.

"Wait, I will take care of her."

"You can't, Your Highness. This job is for servants." Ashley wore a helpless expression on her face and spoke with a sigh.

"But I have long wanted to talk to her in person." Rhea made another excuse and got close to Ashley.

"You can talk to her after she wakes up from the coma, Your Highness." Ashley didn't understand why Rhea was acting strangely and felt confused.

"This woman is her idol. That's why she is acting strangely." Jessie also appeared near them and joined the conversation.

Oswald stared at them in amusement for a while, gripped the black cane, and started walking towards the left side corridor.

He walked past the dining hall, kitchen, storeroom, armory and soon appeared in front of a metallic shutter door.

Then, he bent down with some difficulty while taking out a metal key, put it in the keyhole, and unlocked the door.

After that, he pulled the shutter upward and started walking into the dark underground basement through the staircase.

Just as he walked in, the metallic shutter closed on its own and shone in bright yellow color.

Then, Oswald stepped down on the large stairs and soon entered the underground basement.

His gaze swept past the table, broken artificial womb, and soon landed on a deep-blue-haired human.

He wore a black cloak over his dress, and his eyes appeared cold as ice.
